Just get out some side cutters and snip away. I did mine and it looks great. I don't have a camera right now or I'd show you pictures. Just start with a small circle and progressively get bigger until the gauge fits snug. I even cut a small cut around the bezel so that the gauge sits flush with the vent.

Default fender bender

My wife got into a fender bender with my 5 month old Avant (grrr....) Should I take it to the stealership for repairs or get the body work done elsewhere? Any suggestions in T.O.?

tx!

tx!
Depending on the dealer they may farm it out to a body shop that they like using and they'll most likely charge you more than if you were to go to an independent.

Whereabouts in the city are you? I have some recommendations I can make for the west end (etobicoke) but if its far for you then maybe someone else can help out.

In that case check out West End Autobody (WEST END AUTOBODY INC.)
They're at 87 Shorncliffe Rd.

416-231-6710

I had the car there last fall after it was hit in a parking lot. Their estimate was a little higher than some of the smaller other shops in the area but dealing with Nick was a very good experience, tell him Marko with the '99 A6 says hi if he still remembers.

If you want sticker shock (or someone else is paying) go to 427 Collision on Kipling and Evans (almost double the price on most jobs)...West End was a nice middle ground estimate for the work and seeing a few very nice Porsches they were working on seemed to put my mind at ease about leaving my car there haha

Lots of body shops in the area though so just grab a few estimates and you should be okay to decide where you want to leave your car.

Unhappy Audi Newb CEL code questions help!?

Im new to the Audi scene and need some help on my OBD ll read out.

Ive had my 1998 A4 2.8 quat. for about a month now. She ran perfect then it decided to not turn over right aways. It cranks fine but wont turn over until the second try. I wasnt sure what was wrong because if i drove it anywhere (store, food, 6 pack shop) it would fire up fine when i got back out.

Then the CEL came on one day for about 10 minutes on a ride to my friends house. I stopped twice on the way for various things and every time i got back in it would come back on and stay on. After about 5 hours at my friends house I left to come home and it was out. Flash forward 6 days to yesterday it came on again, and this morning still on. I ran it for codes and it came back

Manf Cntrl Veh. Spd.
Idle Speed Control
Auxiliary Inputs

Being that im a new guy to the scene I dont know a lot about this stuff and I have been covering as many forums and sites for input as much I can.

Can someone please help me?!

B5 Driver and Pass side TRE's are the same part. Try to match the TRE vertical post depth into the upright the same as the old ones.

The non fitment description is a little unclear, are you saying one TRE will not fit into the upright or ?

Question Blower Motor

Hello,

I need to check and maybe replace the blower motor in my 1996 A4 Q 2.4, located behind the glove box, I have three screws out, but the blower will not come out and it seems to me I have to take the dash out to pull it out. Is that possible, seems to me a big job for the little blower.

Thanks, Backlands
