Default ICBC and winter wear and tear

So after a trip to kelowna and a few up to whistler and parking around vancouver during the winter, my baby now has the following wear and tear:

* rock chips in hood
* rock chips in front bumper
* paint chip from some ****er parking behind me in vancouver
* crack in front windshield

So i know if i pay a 300 deductable i can get the windshield replaced, but im wondering, since this is all normal winter wear and tear, is it possible to pay ICBC the 300 deductable and in order to get all the damage fixed?

i doubt your insurance will pay for your rock chip damage. you can see if you can get the insurance to pay for your windshield and to repaint your rear bumper, then talk to the shop to repaint your hood and front bumper for a little extra.

Insurance normally won't cover paint damage unless a police report was filed. Just so you know, most insurances will cover windshield repair, BUT it counts as a claim on your insurance, which could mean rate increase at renewal.

Default new member, looking for a few parts

Hey guys, just signed up on here, had a chance to pick up a 96 A4 2.8 5sp for a really good price so now i am a proud owner of an Audi, there is just a few things i need and i was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on where to go for these parts. since i am new to the audi world and dont really know where to go for parts for the car, I am looking for a new front and rear bumper for my car, oem or not doesnt really matter, can be used, preferably green in colour since the car is green. I took the car to a body shop to see how much it would cost to repaint my current bumpers and the want quite a lot of money the paint on the bumpers is cracking and there is a few dings and scratches on them so i wanted them repainted but now i am thinking that it might be cheaper to just buy a set of used bumpers in good condition or find aftermarket replacements and get them repainted. So if anyone has anything for sale or can give me advice on where to go to get used ones or aftermarket ones please let me know

Any help would be greatly appriciated and I look forward to getting to know everyone here

It's real hard to find green A4's. So you will probably have to get the set you buy painted anyways. I think it would be cheaper to just have your current ones repainted. Try going to another paint shop.

Default upgrade stock wheels to S4, auto tranny

I have a 2000 A4 (B5) 1.8T Quattro, with an automatic transmission. I want to upgrade my wheels from the stock 17' to S4 wheels from the same B5 model. But I was told this wouldn't be good for the transmission and that the sensors would act up for the ABS and differential. Is this true? and if it is, is it really that big of a deal. I often see other cars jacked up with rims that are far larger that the original ones and they have auto trannys.

BTW... i'm still looking to buy them so if anyone has 4 S4 wheels to sell.

thanks!
