Default Fuel pump

Has anyone heard of or has used "Vemo" brand fuel pumps? I got a quote from my mechanic, and his supplier only carries Bosch, which is good but uber expensive at $470. I saw the Vemo one on ECS Tuning for $147, but as with anything else... something that is so much cheaper than recognizable brand names, makes me wonder if it's any good/reliable. But of course, the prospect of saving $323 is always good

Anyway, couldn't find much info on google on these either... so any opinions would help greatly!

Default DIY: Exhaust mani. and misc. other parts TechLine thermal coating

Finally got around to doing some thermal coating.
I did my exhaust manifold, wastegate rotation bracket, turbo support bracket, turbine housing, and turbo outlet.

First, I enlarged the holes on the turbo housing to be able to fit 10mm studs instead of 8mm.

Next was a little trip to the sandblasting cabinet.

Then a little acetone bath to clean everything up.

Pic of the parts after sandblasting and cleaning.

I only coated the outside of the parts, I wouldn't want flakes of the thermal coating going through the turbo if the stuff starts peeling. I used chimney tape so it could last through the outgassing and curing process.

So I put up the "paint booth" and fired up the oven.

Parts in the oven for outgassing (I had to do 2 batches).

I used TechLine Black Satin for the thermal coating.

Parts after coating.

After the coating, the parts go back in the oven for curing.

Either the impeller in your water pump is broken or you need a new thermostat.

does it over heat when you drive or only when your idling, cause if it over heat when you drive then it's internal, if not it's the fans but I'm curious, my A4 has one fan that is belt driven and one electric does the TT have two electric fans?
