Hi folks..am interested in purchasing a used B5 or B6 frm down south, can anyone provide any info as to what modifications need to be done other then the daytime running lights and the m/hre=km/hr thing ?...rear bumper?, child thether strap? etc called a local Audi dealer here and all that they mentioned was the speedometer thing...p.s. also did a search on here but only newer A4's were listed with the info..thx

Re: Mods required for a USA A4 for CDN standards
Check Registrar of Imported Vehicles RIV: How to import a U.S made vehicle into Canada and it will list things needed. I brought over a B6 A4 in July and only needed to switch the DRL on and that was it. It already had the child anchors and as long as the speedo has the km/h, you don't need to do anything to the cluster.

Richmond Automall Audi stealership woes
This is just a gripe about the stealership at Richmond Automall....
So, I dropped off my car to them 7am in the morning for an oil change (20 min job) and a fuel filter change (45 min job?). I call them at 12pm to ask for an update - car's not done yet, but they promise to call me at 2pm. 4:30pm rolls around, and I'm done work, so I get a coworker to drop me off at the dealership, thinking such a simple job MUST be finished by then.
I go in and my car's not done yet, and wouldn't be finished until the next day. Apparently, my fuel lines were seized up and they couldn't get the fuel filter off (which is fine and understandable, it's an older car).
The part I'm cheezed about is - they didn't call me earlier to tell me that I couldn't have my car back the same day. They couldn't offer me a loaner car, and didn't offer me a ride home. I'm stuck at the dealership, no way to get home, no way to get to work the next day, and I find this out at the last minute as I walk into the dealership.
To add insult to injury - the service rep told me he can get me "a good rate" on a rental car.. about $60. Oh my gosh...
Anyway... yeah.. stay away from Audi service department in Richmond BC.

Re: Richmond Automall Audi stealership woes
So after sending a nasty email and chewing out the service manager, he decided to pay off my service bill. It was a $230 bill, so I guess it was a pretty decent gesture.
They would've saved a lot more money by just paying for a rental car for me though, for $60... or even have nipped it in the butt from the get go and just called me in advance and paid out nothing.
But, mistakes happen, and how you handle the aftermath counts for something too. I'm glad they owned up to it in the end.

Re: Richmond Automall Audi stealership woes
I've always liked Audi of Richmond when I was in Vancouver: Norman had been very helpful through my first 5 years of owning the Avant. I'm glad that everything worked out for you!

oil pressure switch location 3.0 L b6
Recently I noticed my oil indicator light no longer lights when the key is in the on position. I wanted to check the connection to the oil pressure switch, but I’m not sure where it’s located.
