I'm about to buy a Audi however would like to ask on here for any advice if possible.

The car is a 2004 Audi Quattro Sline 190bhp but is holding 106000 mile with a full Audi service history. The car was previously owned by Arnold Clark and used as a fleet car, i was told it was driven by the same guy from Ac for 4 years but i take that with a pinch of salt. The car is imaculate and i took it for a test run and drives lovely. I thought i heard a slight droning noise(very slight) coming from the front which i stated and he said that they would get it checked out other than that it was beutiful. I just don't want to get blinkered by the look of the car though. V concerned about milage.

The price was on as £5995 which i got down to £5600 and 6 month free Road Tax. I previously had a mondeo and traded that in for £3000 so i've just got £2600 outstanding. I'm thinking that if i get two years out of that would be ideal,however i know repairs are pricey.

Can anyone give me there thoughts on it or any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My a4 1.8t 1998, has issues with the cold weather(7 degrees and lower) it does not want to start. I have read several forums that suggest that the temperature sensor may be the fault. Has any one heard this? also I have a problem with it during acceleration, it misses and jerks but it doesn't do this to the point of logging an engine code. If any one has an idea.... I have checked the cam sensor it was damaged slightly from the bolt that holds the reluctor window in place loosening off, I was able to fix it but I think that maybe it is creating an issue, The wires are showing and maybe they are picking up a signal from the magnetic pulse? thanks for any info.

Saw the A4 and it really does seem to drive well. Have a BMW 5 series that is great to drive but lease is up and considering something different. Always have had a manual transmission and really enjoyed the one in the BMW which was special ordered. Appears that the A4 manual won't be available until at least spring 2009. Too late for me, but does anyone have any experience with the overseas delivery program or if the car will be available elsewhere.

I am looking at purchasing a 2006 A4 2.0T 6MT as a Certified Pre Owned from an Audi dealership. It would have a few thousand KMs left on the factory warranty. I realize that it's gone through their "300 point inspection" for admission into the CPO program but I'm not sure that I feel comfortable assuming that nothing is wrong with it. I do not currently have a relationship with an Audi mechanic.

- Has anyone purchased a CPO and taken it elsewhere for a checkup first?
- If so, what are the key things to have them check?
- Is there any way to check whether previous owner used premium gas or got proper oil changes?
- Should the dealer have a problem with me doing this?

Qu4ttro, you can take it to Autobaun Performance on the West-end. I know they have one. I think they charge $95/hour, but will only charge for 15minutes if takes 15minutes. Good luck!

So I have an odd issue with my bluetooth and blackberry synch. My address book was entered into bluetook and I can scross through it and when I place a call it will correctly list the name of the person on the trip computer. (ie. I dial a number and it cross references to name).

Odd part is if that person calls me then only the number displays - it does not show their name despite being in the address book. Is this just a quick of the software?

Hi everyone,

I just bought a used '04 A4 (run 46k) with manual trans. sometime when I put into the 1st gear, a quite low but heavy sound would come out from the trans part and I can feel a subtle vibration at the same time. Is that normal for a car with 46k (km)?
should i go and check my clutch or trans stuffs? I am sure I press the clutch all the way down every time.

And... there is also a little noise coming out from the dash board. I asked a audi mechanic. he couldn't find out the problem but he told me there is no mechanical parts ( like belts or gears etc.) inside the instrument panel. Any hints about the problem?
