Re: SQ5 wheels
Yeah those area going to look awesome! Looking forward to the pics!
I put the snow tires on my OEM rims, threw the tires that came with the car onto some OZ rims I got from TireRack, then powder coated to match the color of the car. Was going for an old school rally look:

Would you mind posting some photos? Would love to see what they look like on your SQ?

Re: SQ5 wheels
I noticed no real difference between the two tire sizes. Because of the sidewall difference, I would surmise that the 20" should experience more roll during the turns but haven't found that in by daily driving

Re: SQ5 wheels
I'm leaning towards pulling the trigger on a set of the OEM 21" SQ5 wheels that are available through a private sale and using my OEM 20" for winter tires.

Bimmer - nice wheels! Was there anything in particular that made you go for the LM60's over the DMV-1's? The shop I am dealing with was pushing the DMV-1's. Both are fairly well reviewed, but Tire Rack classifies LM60 as a "Performance Winter Tire" and DMV-1 as a "Studless Ice & Snow" tire. I wondered if the LM60 would deliver better performance based on the classification difference. I am in Vancouver, so snow is not a concern for me (just rain, ice and cold).

The OEM 21" look great if you've never seen them in person. It definitely cranks up the looks on the SQ5. Here's a pick of them on my car. As far as handling I haven't had issues with them but I've only had the car for a month and I'm still breaking it in. From a noise perspective it's no worst then what one can expect from a performance tire. If anything I don't notice excessive noise.
Regarding the tire selection, as you say they are equally praised so it was just a personal preference I selected the LM60's.

Thanks! I'm hoping they look as good as my OEM summer 21".

Looking good Bimmer. I'll be very keen to see the 20" Hartmann's on the SQ5 once you have them installed.
As for DMV1 vs LM60, I forked over the extra dough for the LM's since I was told by my guy at Tirerack they were better handling than the DMV1's. I currently have WS70 Blizzaks on my other car and they are great. Soft, but not too soft. If the LM60's are as good as I was told, I should be very pleased. Now, I just need to get the vehicle!
