What is the nicer wheel choice for the 2014 SQ5?

20 or 21 inch?

 

The nicer ones IMO are the 21's and I believe the only actual 'SQ' wheels are 21's. Dealers in Canada just get to upcharge for them is all I think - kinda BS IMO.
Same thing on our s-line. Pay for the s-line package but that doesn’t include the 20" s-line wheels. That's an extra $1,000 adder MSRP.

 

I would say the 21's, but you are paying a premium for the bigger tires.

 

The 'SQ' wheels from what I've seen in the dealership so far are 20's. Do you have the SQ5 or just the regular Q5? If you just have the normal Q5, since the 2013 facelift, they've removed the 20" s-line wheels from previous years and replaced it with 19" instead, but if you get the hybrid, you get the 20".

 

In 2013's you add the S Line Package. That gets you the 19's. It is an additional $1K for the 20" rim option and comes with summer rated tires only.

Not sure about SQ5s...

 

These are the stock wheels that are included with the SQ5.

I decided not to go for the 21" and use the 20". I've been told by multiple sources that prices for tires on the 21" rim are huge compared to 20".

 

I went with the 20 inch wheel option as well. Didn't feel that the extra $1000.00 for the 21 inch wheel option was worth the extra cost as well as rougher ride.

Tire cost for the 21 inch wheels will also be very expensive as you had mentioned as well.

What color did you go with on your SQ5?

 

Lava grey, what did you choose?

 

I went with Lava Grey as well with Magma Red and black leather in addition to aluminum black Beaufort inlays.

 

i have a client that opted for the 21's and i find it really makes the truck and distinguishes it from the rest of the Q5's.

A set of 4x21" tires is 332$ more than for 20" (Dunlop SP sport max)

I think that +1000$ for the 21's was a no brainer. They are some of the nicest audi has ever made.

Oh and for MY2013, the +1000$ for 20's on the s-line was not available (i would have ordered it that way)
