Hey, I posted this separately but this may be a more appropriate place:
Looking for a bit of help but I think I already know the answer. Unfortunately I live in Golden BC where there isn't anyone who knows anything about Audi's, lte alone older model transmissions.
I have a 1990 Audi 200 Turbo that's never really had any problems and only about 150,000 km. The other day I was driving to work and the transmission wouldn't shift past first. I pulled over and then found it wouldn't go into reverse either. Tried to go forward and wouldn't move - pretty sure it was trying to start from 4th. After waiting a bit it started from 1st gear but has trouble shifting to 2nd and won't shift any further.
Question is: is my transmission completely shot or does anyone have any suggestions as to something simpler that may have gone. I should mention that there is a little bit of metal in my oil.

as an audi service consultant, i just thought i'd offer some level of expertise to some curious audi owners! Facts are always better than fiction.
i don't claim to be the "lord of the rings" so to speak,
but i hope my knowledge can be of some assistance!

How regularly should I do an oil change? My service advisor said my next service is in a year - should I do an oil change in between the service appointment?

Hello there! I´m trying to find out what type of headlight bulb does the 2009 A3 come with, i know its HID just don´t know the lamp type,? and i believe that the ffront bumper has to come out to replace it right?
