It's a little tougher with Audi's and importing them from the states. When I was shopping for an Audi in Seattle and Portland the prices were not that better than Canada. Also since the car is made outside of North America there is something like a 6% duty on it. Importing an A4 didn't save me any money. Might be different with the S and RS models.

 

I've just seen a catch pot (precision engineered) retail at $225!

When I modified my crankcase ventilation and vacuum system (replaced crankcase rubber breather with aluminum fitting, removed pancake valve, eliminated jet pump and 3 check valves, looped N245 and connected direct to intake manifold), I also added atmospheric venting through a catch pot.

I don't have the coinage for a precision built catch pot, but found an excellent, inexpensive alternative.

Consists of an black ABS pot (from a water filter system) 2 nylon reducing elbows, and a home fashioned mounting bracket.

Total cost of parts $15.00, Princess Auto.

Pics attached showing installed pot, and also the volatile crap (1 months worth) that was previously being routed through my intake manifold.

pail has a screw top fitting, and all I have to do is twist and pour (down the drain) once a month.

I have an Audi A4 2.4 V6. It didn't come with a users manual. Where can I find a manual and what liquids and specifications do I need?

How often is the transmission oil changed? Many people don't change it at all over the life of the car ... while some say every 4 yrs.

I recently got the new blackberry curve 2 (8530) and synced it to my 09 A4.
I previously had a blackberry pearl that worked without a problem; when it was calling it would say "Connecting", and when someone picked up on the other end it said "Connected" properly.

Now, as soon as I make an outgoing call it says the call is "Connecting" for a split second and then it switches to "Connected" while it's still ringing. It says this both on the MMI interface and on the phone itself.

Has anyone had this issue before? Does anyone have a blackberry with the 5.0 OS synced to their car? This sounds like a possible software update on the Audi, but I'm not sure. The phone is fully up-to-date, OS v5.0.

I'm taking the car in later this week for its 25k oil change and will ask them to check it out, but I would appreciate getting some input from the great Audi community out there.

 

Any chance someone in the GTA could seafoam my Audi A4 2.8Q, I can aquire the seafoam online or I could pay for yours...either way it seems as if my car would like to be seafoamed haha

Has anyone upgraded to Valeos from stock halogens on their b5? I need some help with the wiring if possible. I have everything else figured out.

How do I connect the stock harness off the halogens to the valeos? Does it involve splicing? If so, any write-ups?

Hi I just got a new southbend clutch put in and now when I launch it hard it vibrates a lot. I read that a snub mount would help that but it did nothing. What can I do to solve this problem?? What is actually making the noise??
