B5/B6 clutch (no flywheel)
This was my first winter with the A4 (and an AWD car), it was a machine. With snow tires I was going places that no car this low should be. One example was at xmas, I went out to a farm to pick up a dog and the whole way was literally plowing the road flat.
As for Xdrive in winter... well I have no personal experience, but any reviews I've ever read have always placed it as being good, but not as good as Audi's Quattro.

Hi all, new member so I hope this isn't a dumb question. I'm located in Calgary and wondering about negotiating on new cars. Do local Audi dealerships move on price during negotiation?
I have printouts from Carcostcanada, etc, but just wanted to know what to expect.
thanks in advance

only 1 way to find out man...
I know the last time I tried dealing with Southgate on a car they didn't seem to have any interest in selling it to me, so instead I got the deal I wanted in Red Deer. (it was for a VW, btw)

I went to a few dealers (in GTA) b4 I got mine last year and they only really went down ~$3000. I managed to get $7000 off but only cause it was the dealership manager's car and had ~3000K on it.
You won't have much luck with the Glenmore group. Both dealers in Calgary are owned by the same people and pretty much they decide not only what price to sell it for, but also all sort of extra charges that I have never heard of, such as: finance/lease fee $400 or $500, mud guards/wheel lock fee of $800 and others I can't recall at this time.
Good luck!
Good luck!
All I know is when dealing with the dealership, if you don't want to get burned at the end with delivery, processing, security, finance fees etc., make sure you negotiate from the beginning with all fees in, not including taxes of course. I just recently bought a car from the dealership for the first time and after we had negotiated for the final price, I got the "Oh by the way" move right at the end for two different items for about $800. I knew about one for $500 but I was ready to walk for the other $300 just on principle. They ended up waiving the $300 after a day's wait. If you say to the salesman that you are negotiating your final price with all fees in from the beginning, then you will know exactly what you are paying. Good luck.
