B5/B6 clutch (no flywheel)
I'm not sure about the hourly rate. But the guy is honest and does good work. I used to go to Queensway Audi, I switched to this company and I've been pretty happy about it

He's a German mechanic specializing in VW/Audi vehicles.
He did my timing belt replacement January '09 at a price well below the stealer's. I'll be seeing him tomorrow for brake-work. I am confident in his work.
He loaned me his Touareg a couple of times when I had to leave my car overnight.
Sweet ride, but sour on the wallet.

I am close to pulling the trigger on a set of Toyo garit tires 225-50-R17. They were highly recommende by the APA last year:
" Superior performance on snow and ice but not optimized for dry pavement handling. Durable. Expensive. Performance oriented or aggressive drivers should look elsewhere. "
My dealership suggested that I choose another tire because of some complaints of them being too soft.
Does anyone have any experience with these tires to share?
Note I much more conservative in winter especially since a few encounters with black ice the last few years in Quebec.

Greetings everyone!
A question to you fine folks (you know who you are
) from a nooby regarding FMIC. Would I see a material difference upgrading to an AWE Tuning Front Mount Intercooler ($1000US) from stock. My current upgrades include APR Stage 1+, and APR diverter valve.
Thanks for your help.

I bought them but haven't tried those. They appear to be a good compromise between winter & performance. The folks from the local subaru club all raved about that tire. A stiffer tire sucks in ice / snow... I know I'd be swearing if I was stuck in a big snow storm with inadequate tires.
