Yep, I did and he said I have the same ballast but just in a different housing. I'll try swapping sides with the ballasts and see if that helps.

Ok, swapped the ballasts and it looks like it made a positive difference. I must've turned on/off the car at least 5 times to see if both lights would come on. Success! However, both flicker a few times as soon as they go on before staying steady. I can live with that as long as they both turn on each time. I hope that doesn't shorten the lifespan of the bulbs. What do you guys think?

My don't flick. I would request to change another set. If another set does the same, they you probably okay.

IMO the initial flickering "might" be normal depending on the model of the ballast. Most of us on the forum have older models. Best thing to do is ask Jacky in an email if it's not normal he'll replace it for you because if that ballast goes out because of it in the near future he'll have to replace it under warranty anyways so drop him a line.

Jacky said he'll be sending me two decoders when he gets them in. It should help specifically with the flickering problems that others have also experienced.

Hey guys, haven't been up on the forums lately but I would like to update on the HID fogs and and canbus ballasts. It has been more than a year and I am glad to report the flickering and error I reported earlier has not happened since. So I think the canbus ballasts did the trick. As for why this is happening....not sure. Its not because of the S-Line trip as Warcity mentioned. Just my luck or maybe they changed things with the 2010 up models. Who knows. As for the initial flickering when you turn on the HID fogs, I probably get it sometimes but only for a second or two and not really noticable. Hope this update helps.

Thanks for the update, mrmigo. Like you mentioned, the only time it flickers is upon startup and only happens for 2 seconds at the most. It doesn't really bother me except that I worry the flickering will shorten the lifespan of the bulbs. Jackie still hasn't gotten in his shipment of decoders to send me, but once he does I'll install them and see if they completely get rid of the flickering.

Don't worry about the life of your. Those bulbs are build to last, not to mention fairly cheap to replace. A pair is about 25-35 dollars.
