i want to upgrade my halogen led number plate lights I have tried before led bulbs and it showed an error on dashboard, anybody tried these 18 smd led plate lamps ?

here says they are canbus compatible, awaiting your comments about upgrading these buls

 

i have ones from superbrightled.com

they throw codes every once in a while but hardly if ever.

I've never received an error code and its been almost 1 year

 

I have the superbrightleds ones as well in an 06. They throw codes everytime the lights come on. Gotta get new ones.

I emailed superbrightleds and they told me none of there Licence plate lights have the load resistors in them to stop the codes.

Everyone on the Q5 forum gets their LEDs from the same guy. No issues at all. Even with HID fogs.

 

thats weird. One out of every 15 start ups throws a code on mine and when it does it goes away almost instantly after it shows.
