Re: Q5 - HID Amber Fog light, LED interior Lighting (ERROR FREE)
Update:
Car was ready last Thursday but because I was away I didn't pick it up until today. I got extremely lucky. They replaced both bulbs ordered from US non in Canada hence the wait. No cost, warranty wasn't impacted so all good. Even though I changed the fog lights and they saw it warranty didn't get touched.
Moral of the story: Don't touch the head lights. Only way to change them is to remove the housing and the bumper if you have that kind of time go for it otherwise if you don't you can get the bulb out like I did but can't put it back in. Also, for that brief period I had the 6K bulb in there, the LED and headlight color mis-match was very noticeable.
I am glad to have been the guinea pig for this one, now I have to sell my 6K bulbs .
If you want to change your interior lights and fog lights talk to me I know it can be done easily but this one I'd stay away from...
Cheers.

Good point. I think it won't match 100% but will match much much better.
If someone has the garage space and jacks and the necessary tools to remove the bumper I encourage you to change the lights but remember, once the you disconnect the light bulb housing from the car you'll have to manually re-adjust the height of the light using the manual screwsr, the car will do the adaptive adjustment automatically but the height will have to be manually adjusted so take note of where the high is at right now by properly measuring it.
Soni I know your fog light is 600K so hopefully when we turn up your DRL LED's you can compare it to the fog light colors to see how well it matches, that would be a good test.

Re: Q5 - HID Amber Fog light, LED interior Lighting (ERROR FREE)
Hey guys,
Im new to the forum and was reading up the LED /HID fog mod. Warcity great video!! I also ordered the LEDs and HID fog kit from Jacky. I installed the LEDs as per your instructions and very very helpful. As for the HID fogs, I have trouble getting the front plastic fog grill / cover off even using your technique Warcity. I have a 2010 Q5 S-Line tho. The problem I am having is there is not alot of finger/hand room to grab on to with the s-line mesh grill unlike the non s-line. Wonder if any S-line members have any luck with taking off the grill cover? Any tips?
thanks guys

My Q5 is also S Line. Just pull. They seem to come out easier from the inside side (closest to the centre grille) first. I didn't use anything to pry it out either. You risk damage to the bumper cover.

thanks for the tips Regina_TTS. I will try to pull harder starting from the inside part of the grill like you mentioned as that side has more grip too =).

use a rope or small towel, then try insert in to one hole and loop back out from another hole. Now you should able to pull out the grill.
