I too live in Toronto and yes you must consider winter tires. Safety first.

Thanks for the information.
The car is due for mid-January delivery , so am thinking whether it makes sense to buy the tires this winter ( as the winter time spend will be hardly two months ) , as the dealer is quoting me 2300 CAD for the tires.
Is that fine ? Or can you let me know the shop in Markham where you got the tires from ? Do they also do installation and pack the summer tires too ?
And lastly any suggestions which brands tires I should look out for.

Picked up my winter tires/rims yesterday!

I am very happy, they look awesome! (in my garage...)
Now I just need that thing that sits on top of them...oh ya, the Q5!

Delivery is delayed over a month...ugh. Looking close to Christmas now!
Maybe the dealer will swap the stock tires for my winters at the time of delivery for free because of the delay... (alex?)

Hi Guys.

I ordered the Q5 in mid - September. With the going trend whats the expected delivery date like would be , do you have any idea. The dealer is giving no dates as of now , only specifying a expected delivery between third week December to in all probability of second week of January.
It seems that the system have no dates anywhere as of now.
Hmm..It seems a long long wait ..

I ordered mine mid-August, with delivery scheduled for mid-November. Now, delayed until the end of the year. (to be built the week of Nov. 1st)

I just hope it isn't snowing when I take delivery as it comes with summer tires...
