I have been told delivery in November.

Congrats! You will luv it...we have the exact same Q5 (2011/3.2/Sline) only mine is black/cinn. brown--picked it up last week and I couldn't be happier...the wait was killer...I ordered mine in April...worth the wait!!

Have one week to decide on Drive Select. Am conflicted- what made you decide to go for Drive select?

Congrats guyz. Awesome cars. Except for colors, we're twins. Excellent engine choice. Just in time for winter. There are lots of good posts here for winter rims and tires on this forum so check it out.

 

I chose the Drive Select because of the differences in feel with the S-line packages' 20" rims in the summer and 18" rims for winter.

Plus I am going from a sports car to this SUV, so I hope to replicate as much 'sports car' feel as I can when I need a fix!

Not to mention re-sale value!

Anders, thanks for your response. I too will be putting 18" rims on for the winter and i take it that these will soften the drive (compared to the 20's) and perhaps warrant usage of the 'dynamic' mode. One concern is that i am not sure whether you can completely disengage the drive select option bringing it to exactly the same as the stock settings if you felt like doing so. Did you get a chance to test drive a Q5 s-line with drive select? If so did you feel a certain difference between comfort and dynamic? I would have thought 20" in dynamic mode would be too harsh- any truth to this? Also, may i ask what 18" rims are you considering?

Sorry for all the questions. I have a couple more days to decide on drive select and i didn't have the opportunity to test drive a car with it. I don't want to regret my decision.

When do you receive yours? I am looking at November delivery.
