Ask me anything about Audis!
5. It appears as if you have an instrument cluster issue but of course, you can call us and lets see if we can figure out whats going on.
Hey drago011,
1. If you are planning to do some of the smaller VAGCOM mods (window roll down, fog lights etc), you'll be okay. However, any modifications to the ECU or drivetrain parameters (tuning software, lowering etc) will void your warranty.
2. Stick with Ross-Tech. I understand they are pricier but in terms of comprehensive support and functionality, I have not seen an alternative. Here is a link(Ross-Tech: VAG-COM: Audi A4 / S4 / RS4 Applications) which shows all the control modules accessible for your car through Ross-Tech

Just wanted to give a quick shoutout of appreciation to the guys at MotorFabrik.
They did my timing belt job on my 2004 Audi A6 4.2 yesterday.
Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
The guys are great, work was done very technically and sound, and the price was fantastic.
Any of you forum members who are "iffy" or undecisive on trying MotorFabrik for your service, rest assured they know what they're doing.
Thanks again guys and we'll see you soon.

Hi there. I have a 2004 Audi A4 convertible. The car is in great shape. The windscreen that came with the car ( for behind the seats ) is starting to show its age. It has 2 holes in the screen and a third one forming now. Am I able to replace this screen. There is a rubber piece that holds the screen into the frame ( much like on your house window ) but when I try to get it out it seems like it is glued in. I don't want to damage it by trying to pry it out as it will look bad after I'm done. Do you have any tips on whether this can even be done. I'm guessing a new screen from Audi is going to be very pricey.
Thanks for your help.

If we are talking about the same screen ( PN# 8H0862953), repairing it depends on your handyness
How did they stop working? In mid-wipe?
You will want to find out if the wiper motor is shot or has the linkage/transmission broke at some point? Much rarer is an electrical issue from the combi switch itself.
