Thanks very much, you're a great asset to the forum!
So I have the part numbers here for you G35dalf:

8V0419091J (steering wheel...note this one has DSG paddles...our local Audi dealership does not have the PN number as yet for a wheel without DSG but we are waiting on them to get back to us with it)

1K0959653D (slip ring)
8V0880201N (air bag)
8J0971589F (wiring harness for MF/airbag)

At the moment, we are not set up to sell parts but it is something we are considering .

You are going from a dual stage to single stage airbag deployment system...in addition, there is modification needed to the wiring harness and steering control module.

Because of safety/liability, with this particular mod, it would be something we would dissuade a customer from doing. Any modifications to the safety system are a red flag...especially if the airbag was not to deploy in the event of an accident

This past monday after the car sat for 1 week after returning from a trip car had 103000 k . Happened on initial start up shut it down and restarted a couple of times and noise gone and runs fine . No CEL either time but definite lack of throttle response when I blipped it a couple of times which tells me valves where not opening fully . Lifter issue ?
The 2.0Ts are known for being a bit noisy upon start up but that wouldn't explain the oil pressure light that came up. Either its the sensor or there is something preventing oil from lubricating the head. Because its happening after the car sits but goes away after you restart (eventually building up pressure), its an issue that warrants further investigation. If it was a stuck lifter, you would hear the noise consistently...as well as notice the idle being somewhat off.

From experience, those motors have HPFP issues and its possible yours has thoroughly worn out. Again, it seems to work after a couple restarts (building up pressure)...if I understand the situation correctly here.

I'd like to extend an invitation to swing by and we can take a look to figure out whats going...no obligation.

There is a link on here that explains how to change it, seems pretty easy.

Hey Cedric,

Nothing to worry about it...the snow is just melting faster on those spots because there is insulation under the metal skin. The temperature differential is causing those weird looking spots.

Unless someone out there is playing a prank?

MotorFabrik, I spoke with the seller and he says the part numbers are:

8V0419091S Steering wheel (From 8V A3) (which is close to what you listed - he has an S at the end instead of a J)
8K0880201AE6PS2 dual stage Airbag from a B8 S4 (different from what you listed)

He confirms the airbag is dual stage. He says the airbag and wheel have already been fitted and only need to wire it correctly to get it to work. Is this true? Would you know if I need a different wiring harness and what the part number is - or will the one you listed work?

Thanks very much again!

No problem! Here to help as much as we can.

We don't want to be the wet blanket on Audi fun but if you are planning to do this mod, please be aware that the airbag may fail to deploy. As a shop who cares about their customers, we have to let everyone reading this know.
