Thumbs up vag-com

Hi there.

I use my cable about once a month to clear codes, adjust headlights,...
You don't HAVE to have one but I find it is a nice tool.
Do a search for "sensolution". They are one of the distributors for ross-tech and they are located in Calgary. Very nice poeple. The cable is cheaper if you buy it from them. You could get a "cheaper" cable from obdtool.com, but you won't have the same possibilities.( I started with a cheap one and upgraded to the real thing later)

I also have the Bentley manual (cd) for my A4. They are not cheap! If you can, get a book, not a cd. I don't like typing with dirty hands on the computer, and your are stuck with serial numbers and activation BS.

I would think injectors, kinda hard to tell without actually driving it. Could even be your n75 valve. Take it to a shop and have it looked at before you buy. And make sure the timing belt has been done, unless you are willing to do it yourself, its rather pricey to have a shop do it.

The guy just faxed me an inspection paper. got it done yesterday. If it keeps acting up i'll get it tuned up, i've been told it could be dirty injectors, it never hurts to have more than one opinion.
thanks, i'll keep you posted on how she runs when i pick it up.
thanks

Arrow 1998-2001 A4 1.8T wanted

Hello, I'm kind of a newbie around here,

I'm looking for a 1998-2001 1.8T A4, manual prefferably, AWD too but not necessary.
Any condition is fine, I will throw in some mods in eventually when I can; I'm kinda limited in spending, I'll settle for a fixer upper.

Thanks in advance,

--Alex--

PS: I could go for any 98-01 also

a4 & fixer upper shouldn't be in the same sentence lol unless of course your fairly mechanically inclined. If you're willing for get to Red Deer, Alberta...I've got a '98 5spd quattro a4 that I would sell for the right price. Just put in a new timing belt and water pump, H&R spring w/ koni struts, ARP Snub, Lightweight UD pulley, Projectors w/ HID's, Meyle upgraded control arm kit, stocker rims with studded winter tires & 18's for the summer. 165,000km. I'd sell for 15k. but I doubt you'd want to drive all the way here
