Did anyone order the 2018 Q5

Re: Did anyone order the 2018 Q5
Well said... I hope we don't end up with lemons. I am going to call my dealership tomorrow to see if Audi will consider a compensation. The competition is offering good deals (NX, GLC).

Re: Did anyone order the 2018 Q5
Spoke with the sales manager at my dealership today. He said the owners are now involved and we should have a decision/update by next week. They didn't specify which part was going to be replaced. The tried to suggest that it could be cosmetics (e.g. lights) to meet the federal regulations but I think its probably something else otherwise a cosmetic change can be managed through a dealer recall or take care of during service.

That's a good idea. In terms of compensation they are offering a rate reduction to me but I already have the Audi loyalty discount. Will need to push for extended Audi care for sure.

There are hundreds of Q5's on the road and in dealerships now... so does this part deficiency/recall not apply to them? if so, it should be handled the same for the cars stuck at port as it will for those already on the road... which is through recall notification.
If it is a specific issue to just the cars stuck at port... then the bigger issue is why would the part or process have changed all of a sudden on a production cycle that just got started?
Audi is losing credibility on this... more so due to lack of communication to buyers to who put faith in their brand and purchased a car without seeing/driving.

New member, new purchaser, first post ...
I have an SQ5 on order and heading to production within a couple weeks. Is there any indication that the holds are on Q5's only or are SQ5's tied up in the mess as well? Thanks!

Re: Did anyone order the 2018 Q5
Sales person just emailed me that mine is at 'port' too... but not released to carrier. Not sure she knows about the hold.
Does anyone know where the port is? is it vancouver?
Ps... not sure about sq5's.... hopefully your car can avoid this mess...

Re: Did anyone order the 2018 Q5
For Eastern Canada, the port is Montreal.
For Vancouver, I think the cars ship via Chicago.
