Reviewed for sure. I posted an article link explaining the shipping process in great detail and how it is the weakest part of the Audi product chain. Has a bearing on our deliveries. For some reason it hasn't been released by moderator.

Re: Did anyone order the 2018 Q5
Essentially I was just saying that I used deduction with the data I had.
- Get the build date from dealer according to COMM#
- Did some research on how those Q5s are shipped around the world, more specifically in Eastern Canada and then on to my Dealership.
- Find my potential shipping vessel according to PWL(dot)DE import RoRo schedules
- Figure out the whole process of unloading the boat, loading on train/truck, delivery to dealer, prep by dealer for buyer etc.
So here are the numbers I had from all the info I gathered:
Given by salesperson on purchase day 1
- Initial ETA around mid-july, will give updates later (never did.)
Given by sales mgr upon inquiry early july
- Build week 28 (week of july 10th)
- Build takes about 4 days
- New ETA mid-august...
My calculations:
- If car built july 10th, has to be done by 14th
- moved from plant to port (few days, let's guess July 17-19)
- Get import VW RoRo vessel schedule (pwl(dot)de)
- Find a ship that fit a loading around late july, and a stop in Halifax.
-- Found only 1: COLUMBIA HIGHWAY. Planned depart Veracruz, MX after July 27th, stop Halifax port August 7th
- Read on other forums time from port to dealer to buyer around 2 weeks.
- deducted my delivery date around Aug 21st
Guess what, just received an answer from Sales mgr: Car finished July 19th, ETA Aug 20th.
So far so good! I'm just glad I didn't have too much delay with the actual build.
Now it's time to track that COLUMBIA HIGHWAY
"Come to papa!"

Sounds like shipping is the safe bet after reading that article!
Great article this week on how the Ford Fusion plant in Mexico has been used to smuggle weed out in the spare tire wheel wells, literally every car to one town in the US, hundreds of kilos. very much an inside job.
Check your new Q5 for accessories you may not have ordered!

Just went for the straight up technik trim with s-line package.
Only have a couple quick pics that the salesman took when it came off the truck (attached). Won't be picking it up until next weekend as we are out of town.
