Wiz, thanks for the update the info is great. Don't know how you got the information as my dealer has gone quiet. I am really surprised by Audi and the lack of clarity/respond on the delivery process. Not very good at managing customer expectations. Hopefully will get a positive response on my car soon

I find it hard to believe that a "quality check" could not be done before the vehicles left the factory or at a local dealership with trained techs. Is Audi sending techs to the port and do they have a garage with the diagnostic computers available. Its BS.

They still don't know when they will receive it.
Looking forward to the end of the saga and into the new Q5.
That's awesome! make sure you post some pics when you get the car!

Could be gov't safety/regulatory related checks, i.e. daytime running lights, emissions and safety, certification, etc. Still sucks!

I would hope that these types of quality checks, if that's what the issue is would have been done long before reaching Canada. And if they really need to do something engage more people to get it done. They have customers waiting. Into month 5 now since I ordered.

Hi guys, so the hold is in place by Audi Canada and not the dealers, hence the lack of information. Apparently they need to change some parts and all of the Q5 lot is grounded. That doesn't sound good at all.

Hey Wiz, how reliable is your source. Given my experience sound like something is going on. I found out today that Audi system shows my car was pickup for delivery on the 26th and delivered on the 28th. It is also showing an error on the delivery date. I talked to my dealer and they are completely in the dark. And Audi does not appear to be responsive or providie them with with updates. So frustrating!

Frustrating indeed.
The person (my source) has been fairly reliable in terms of timeline estimates and updates. I think we need to escalate to Audi Canada. I will drop them an email to express my frustration.

Wiz your source is solid. Here's the latest update from Audi. "All 2018 Q5 are on quality hold, No ETA at the moment You will be informed once we have more details". Needless to say I find this disconcerting. Looks like Audi has screwed up the release of Q5 in North America. For the first time, I am now concerned with buying a new Q5 model manufactured in a new factory.
