Re: 2011 Q5 deal
I keep hearing this over and over again, guys that ordered a Q5 thinking they have the best deal possible, only to find out that there was some "made up" mistake. At that point, after waiting for over three monts, you give in a pay it. And these dealers keep doing this because they know that the car will sell anyway. It's a case of "take it or leave it".
I've been selling Audis for nearly 9 years, allways offering a great price and service. Do your research guys, find reputable dealers and salespeople, price is not always the most important part of buying a new car.
My $0.02.

Hey Gujjudesi420,
I just hit a snag with my deal that i thought you should be aware of. Our purchase price sounded a lot like yours, and I just got a call from the dealer mentioning that they did not add the freight and pdi and licensing cost our initial paper work.
Adding it back added 2k to the deal the day before we take delivery. I was not pleased.
Ended up speaking to the sales manager and getting them to split the difference. Our total discount on the base and options ends up being about 5% now to compensate.
So double check your invoices and all the other details. If the discount line on your purchase agreeement states around 2000, then expect to pay about 63500 including your audi care and fees.

Re: 2011 Q5 deal
I went to Marks Motors of Ottawa Audi and got the following ... I'd hardly consider it a 'deal', but their argument is the car is a 'best seller' ... and they're already 3 months backorder ... so why reduce the price. I suppose he's got a point.

like I said ... I don't think it's 'great' ... but do we really have bargaining power?

Re: 2011 Q5 deal
With the dealer having the upperhand on this vehicle right now, the best advice will probably be to find the dealership that will give you the best customer service. Take your time to find a dealer that makes you feel like a valued customer since a large discount may be difficult to obtain right now.
good luck!
