Re: 2011 Q5 deal
bigc, you may have to wait a little bit longer. My Q5 is on that vesel too; I have been tracking it and it just docked at Halifax today at 6:08, out time. So it's a small delay as it shoud arrive on Monday....If we are lucky, then it will be railed it today and at Toronto end of this week. Then PDI it and call to pick it up. If not, then we may need to wait longer.
Sorry to bring somewhat sad news. On the good note, our cars are on canadian soil now!

Re: Ordered 2011 Q5 2.0 Premium Plus
Hi,
I'm getting a Premium Plus 2.0T, Teack Brown, Beige interior, Pano roof, Nav package, Audi Care, Adaptive lights. Taxes included ($12.95%), I paid $60,000.
I was able to negotiate free winter tires ($1300), winter mats and cargo liner. All in all about $1500-$1600 of freebees.
Very hard to get anything else. I had shopped around.
I think you got a pretty decent deal.
Teak and Brown should be a nice combo. I personally prefer the beige interior, but it's a matter of personal taste.
I don't think adaptive Cruise Control is an option in Canada...unfortunately!!
I'll post pics of mine as soon as I get it...Should be any day now (placed order mid-august).

Re: Ordered 2011 Q5 2.0 Premium Plus
I would have skipped the Nav ($3200) and the S-line ($2600), it is an SUV after all, and gone with optional 18" wheels ($1000). That way you would have saved $5000.
Gotta have a sunroof, you think that would be standard on the Premium Plus. Surprised they didn't include AudiCare, it's only $750, and you did spend $62,000!
From what I can tell you paid MSRP, hope you enjoy it...

The Sline package is about appearance, and every vehicle i have seen with the Sline looks awesome. the mesh grille in front and rear valence look awesome, not to mention the paddle shifter, upgraded steering wheel and shifter. and 20" wheels. actually seems like a pretty good value if you like the look of those options. I think trying to make those changes aftermarket would cost far more than $2600.
But to each his own, if you have the means its worth the price.

Re: Ordered 2011 Q5 2.0 Premium Plus
$58,000 X HST (Ontario) = $65,540
$65,540 - 62,192 = $3348
Maybe you did O.K. on the deal... It's really too bad Audi has limited inventory here in Canada. Even dealers are complaining that they don't have enough stock to sell. Personally, I would have a hard time paying full price, even the lease rates (5.9%) are high. Supply and demand... Again I hope you enjoy it, it is a nice vehicle. I'm taking my family on a ski trip to B.C. instead.

Re: Ordered 2011 Q5 2.0 Premium Plus
I used the Audi online configurator, and with selected options the price came out to $55,250 + $750 (Audi Care). Add on Freight and PDI ($2000 ?) and admin.
$58,000 X HST (Ontario) = $65,540
$65,540 - 62,192 = $3348

Lease rates and finance rates are very high I find. And you're right, it's very hard to accept paying (almost) full price. Unfortunately, it's the market that dictates the terms.
I ended up putting my Q5 on my line of credit at 3.5%. It beats Audi conditions and it's more flexible for repayment options (interest payments only if that's what I want and no penalty for early repayment).

Re: 2011 Q5 deal
Thanks for the info Tomashek!! hopefully i'll be getting a call from the dealer tomorrow. The business manager promised that the car would be put on a truck and driven from halifax, not railed since it is behind schedule. 2 days to get here via truck, so yeah sometime late next week if i am lucky! hopefully the same for you.
Hopefully there will be a get together in december for all these new babies being delivered!
