Yes, i did speak to sales lady…. And she said car should arrive in Canada in April and i should have it in May..still no VIN...i think they must have allocate my car to someone else as they may have got more profit...is there any way to know that..

there is no way to "make more profit" so no point in launching a witch-hunt. all dealers pay the same amount for cars, just at what price they choose to sell it at. If they sold you your Q5 $1500 over their cost, it is not unbelievable that they put your car on the backburner or perhaps they sold out their allocation even before you ordered, the latter being less likely. Did you get a great deal then really? Is timing not part of the equation? Your salesperson says that your car "should" come in May?? What rubbish. Smells like your car has not even been ordered, my friend.

 

What can stop a person with thicker wallet to bump you down the line? So you get say $2K off MRSP but some guy come in and willing to pay MRSP, wouldn't the dealer bump you down the line and give that guy the car first? I don't believe in honest dealership

 

Audi is pretty big on customer service. At least this has been my personal experience. I don't see them bumping anyone over money. I might be wrong though.

Please help me, if you have ordered your Q5 with S-line package during and around November 15, 2010 and have received your Q then please provide me with something called commission number, I am not sure if it's in bill of sale but I have seen on the order status page that dealer provides.

The reason I need this information is because**I have spoke the manager at the dealer yesterday and explained my situation and he has spoke to Audi Germany about it, and they are asking him to provide them with Commission number if the order of whose car has been delivered with sline package.*

*excuse Audi Germany is giving is that the delay is due to*sline package. **

I even went to Downton Audi in Toronto and sale guy told me he had his customer order their q5 with Sline package in December 23-2010 And they willbe getting their car in few-days. He did show me the order on his computer.

Your salesperson can get your COMM # for you, if the order has been placed. I do not follow why you need someone else's. Are they unwilling to provide you with one?

If Sline package is their excuse, your order must have been submitted very long after you actually signed the paperwork.

 

Maybe the German hate your dealership and blocking or intentionally delaying all the car orders LOL. Sorry man, hate to be in your shoe right now. I'm going to test drive the Q5 once more and compare it with the X3. Right now I'm leaning towards the X3 since it seems to be a bit cheaper and hopefully wouldn't have this kind of deliver delay.

 

I saw the new X3 in the flesh for the first time earlier this week. I must say that in spite of the good reviews and performance pluses I wouldn't go that way myself. It's got some funny proportions to it and doesn't hold a candle to the Q5, IMO.
