Are you serious? you're asking if I need a diagram? let me spell it out for you salesman (or is it former salesman?)....
you're turning left (turning West), waiting in the intersection
the light turns amber and then red
you make your turn
a driver heading South crushes you
you're both in the intersection during a red light. You're effectively both running the light. If the light is red, amber or green, it doesn't matter...he has the right of way. You, the left turner, don't, and you will be at fault in the incident.
