Canada Introduces $10,000 Speeding Ticket

 

The fact that you can get a "street racing" charge laid against you when there are even no cars around confuses me a little.

There are limits to this though, there are times when during traffic 3 lanes of the 401 will be doing around 140 with the flow of traffic.

what a croc of . think about how easy it is to get up to 150-160 getting around a transport truck on the highway making you nervous with weaving and changing lanes without looking. 10K and no chance for an appeal? doesn't even sound legal!

 

Yep, sounds irrealistic to me as well..

Just thought the Ontario folks (and Gatineau folks like myself) would be interested in what is brewing...

If this indeed goes through and becomes legislation, can you just imagine the poor schmuck (or schmuckette, I ain't sexist) that will be it's first victim! Yowzers...
