Canadian audi dealership reviews
Wow....this sucks having a dealership that bad! If any of you live near or in Ottawa, there's MarksMotors on Montreal road that has one of the best costumer service I've seen.
So I took my Audi to the dealership to get a new alternator and O2 sensor, and they called me the next day to tell me that they had a "minor" fender bender. I went down there to check it out and they wouldn't let me see it, told me it was minor and that it would be fixed..so I took the courtesy car and waited till they closed and snuck back, and the body shop was still open and this is what I found! They took 16 days to fix it, and I went in one day to see it, and they had all the inside panelling out of my car, the back seats, the rear windows and trunk was all taken out. They told me that there wasn't any frame damage, but I really don't know if I should believe them or not! How can I tell? Can I take it somewhere where they can check it out? Yesterday a friend pointed out that the trunk is not lined up properly when it is closed and that is a sign that there was frame damage..does anyone know if this is true? Also, the dealership will not give me ANY paperwork on what parts were replaced or damaged! I don't know what to do! HELP!!!

I am going to, was waiting to get the car back first. It will be the 2nd time I have contacted Audi Canada regarding this particular dealership. 1 week after I bought the car (used last Sept) I needed a new alternator and clutch. So they told me that the alternator was covered under warranty but NOT the clutch. I said that was CRAP because I had only bought the car 1 week prior. So they kept my car for about 1 week, trying to find out if it could be covered under warranty or not. I told them that if it wasn't, that I was going to give the car back. I finally got it covered and when I went to pick it up, they had backed it into another car (not as bad as this last time) and had dented the bumper. They offered me touch up paint to fix it. So I had to drag my father down and of course, as soon as he walked in, they offered him to pain the whole bumper! Since then, I have had nothing but problems..new rotors and breaks (which were supposidly replaced 1 month BEFORE I bought the car) new starter, new O2 sensors, fuel sensor, and temp gage. Now, about 1 month ago, the battery light came on again so I took it in, and they told me it was the alternator (remember, had one put in 10 months ago) and I told them that, and they told me that they were only GUESSING it was the alternator causing the battery light to come on and that it would be replaced and then they'd see if it still happens. Well, it still comes on and they have NO idea why! Also, when I am shifting to 2 gear (down shifting from 3rd) 2nd gear sticks and I have to usually go back to 3rd and then back to 2nd a few times for it to go into gear. I told them this but when the service manager tested drove it, it didn't happen. Then a mechanic drove it and it happened to him and so he told the service manager who told me that HE never felt it, so there was NOTHING he could do! But the mechanic had it happen to him! I have reported all of this to Audi Canada and all they say they can do is just contact the dealership and nothing else. I will be contacting Audi Canada tomorrow to report the accident but is there anything that they can really do???? Oh, and by the way, when I asked to have all of the damage on paper, they told me that No, it would not go on paper so if I ever sold the car I wouldn't have to report the damage (that was clearly over $2000) and that came from the OWNER of the dealership! HELP!!
All this secrecy about the name of the dealership....
WHY DOESN'T ANYONE REVEAL THE NAME SO WE ALL KNOW WHAT DEALERSHIP TO STAY AWAY FROM?????
SCRATCH THAT- Sems like it's Turner Audi who like to smash clients cars and doesn't give a $hit about it's customers
STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!! http://www.turnervwaudi.com/

Hey All,
MAYBE WE SHOULD MAKE THIS A STICKY!!!!
I ran a search and I don't see a thread like this. I think it would be a great idea for us to give our opinions of the Audi dealerships we have dealt with be-it positive or negative experiences. This will help us all when we need to decide which dealership to take our cars to. PLEASE USE THIS TEMPLATE SO IT'S EASIER TO READ

WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE AND WHEN DID YOU HAVE IT:
On many occasions I brought my car in a few times to have recall work done and buy some parts.
WERE YOU HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE YOU RECEIVED?
Yes..... The service and parts people are very professional and courteous. The dealership seems to work well and the employees look happy which says allot about the service you will receive.
WOULD YOU GO THERE AGAIN?
To buy parts and let them do my recalls, yes. To actually buy a car or run a diagnostic and do repairs? No (read my other post) because they charge too much for the work they do. Great place and if I was in a pinch then yes I'd take it there for a repair but in Ottawa, I have some good Audi Mechanics who will do the work for less.

Thanks Mike but I'm wondering what you think of leaving it as is so that people can respond using the format I described. it's a hell of alot easier to read than sifting through the posts people put up AND it saves you work
Thoughts??
I agree 100% with pablo's review. I've been to marks motors to have my key reprogrammed and was treated like loyalty. Private shuttle in a spanking new a6 to and from work, they cleaned my car in and out (not that I ever let her get real dirty) and they fixed an error code on the computer. Very friendly personal. I took 5 mins to check on an s5 in the showroom. All I asked for was a brochure for the s5, the salesman was over friendly insisting that I at least seat in one while asking for a business card with my contact for a future test drive.
I Gotta say though that a friend of mine was window shopping there not long ago. And was rudely asked if he even was financially able to afford any car in the showroom. He showed up wearing casual clothes driving his 2000 civic. During MY visit I was In business attire for work and drove an overly well maintained a6. So if I have anything negative to say regarding mark motors, Its that one of their salesman might be bias, so wear a tie and drive a luxury car if heading there lol.

If they won't take the car back, get your insurance company involved. Tell them and show them everything you showed us and tell them that you think you're entitled to the loss of value on your car due to improper repair. It's called "diminished value". Even though cars are insured on Actual Cash Value basis, there still has been a loss suffered by you as the car is likely worth less now than prior to the accident, especially if paint isn't perfect and panels not aligned correctly.
Maybe if your insurer (BCIC?) was to go after them, they'd behave a bit better.
I'd go with returning car first, firm letter to Audi Canada second, holding back nothing, but politely, and last, small claims court or a lawyer's letter.
I'd certainly be telling everyone I knew not to go anywhere near this place.
BTW, years ago, Agincourt Autohaus in Toronto damaged my bumper and fender at the dealership, not nearly as bad as yours though. They were sooooo apologetic, gave me a free loaner for a few days, and returned the car in excellent condition. The service manager who did it was so apologetic - over and over again. I felt sorry for him. Attitude is everything. To this day I trust that dealership, although I find them more expensive than others and not quite as good technically as some others, but certainly would recommend them for Audi service. Not so, yours.
Good luck.
