That's a nasty hit! Did they explain what happened / what hit your car going how fast?

My sympathies for sure. The dealership is handling this in a way that is best for them. It is in your best interest to follow this up properly.

Unless there is expensive hidden damage we cannot see in your pics (driven over concrete curbs, etc), the visible body damage looks repairable and removing interior parts to access and repair the body damage is the proper way to fix it. As previously mentioned, I would also be concerned about factory rustproofing being affected in the damaged area. They will be repairing it for free as they should do... but we know dealerships don't like doing repairs or anything else for free. I would definitely make them take the car back if that is an option, else I would want a CD full of repair process pics and a full list of parts and labor, extended warranty, new rims, free parts for life... well you get the idea

Aside, I recall purchasing a few parts when the dealership was explaining to a customer that his brand new Audi A4 WAS supposed to be ready for pickup today... until the kid in the back plowed it broadside into a new parked Beetle. I had to ask, how do you side drift the B pillar of a brand new Audi with ESP into a parked car in the dealership parking lot? They said repeatedly "It was slippery and there was an accident". When I left, they were talking the fellow into a loaner for a few weeks while they repaired his new car that he had not actually driven yet. Sheesh!

Hold them accountable and get everything agreed to in writing!

All repairs should reflect in car's record?
In BC if the claim is over $2030 - in the record.
Resell value gets down...

I'd keep all correspondence in writing.

BTW- what about the air bags after such impact - were they replaced?

There is no ICBC claim?

Well I have an update..took the car back because the trunk didn't line up properly (surprise surprise) and there was overspray from where they painted it, and whoever put my car back together had greasy hands and left greasy handprints all over the panelling..so I picked it up that night, and GET THIS! They CRACKED my tailight and GLUED it back together without telling me! Then on the trunk, they had waxed it and polished it, they wore right through the clear coating!! So I contacted the dealership and they acted stupid like they didn't know what happened but agreed to fix it and I contacted Audi Canada who basically is a giant waste of time. They told me that there isn't much they can do but to take my complaint because the dealerships are individually owned..so phoning and complaining to them is just a waste of time. I have left messages for the owner of the dealership to call me back but he has yet to do so. I would love to get free rims and parts from them but I highly doubt that is going to happen!!! Anyways, I am extremely frustrated and I dropped my car off there this morning to get the tailight REPLACED and the trunk repainted but I am betting when I get it back, there will be more damage! Seems to be the case EVERY TIME I take it there!!!! I am beyond frustrated! And unfortunatley since my car is under warranty, the nearest dealership other than this one is 4 hours away in Vancouver. So I am FORCED to take my car here for any warranty issues! AAAAAAAAAAAARGGGH!!!!!!

Oh and no, there is no ICBC claim because they didn't want it on paper..they told me that they WILL give me all the details on paper but I have yet to see that as well.

Boy, after my recent dealings with an Audi Dealership in Richmond and with Audi Canada and now your story, I'm losing faith in Audi fast... Good luck with your repairs...

I am a female Audi driver as well, but girl, YOU MUST take legal action and listen to everyone's reply to you because it is all true. You do HAVE a case...Would you be comfortable to enlighten me on the name or street address of that dealership. I wouldn't want to go there myself; especially after how they have dealt with this entire issue. The reason I ask is because I am from Kamloops and I have to go to Kelowna for all my warranty work and maintenance on my Cabriolet. Take care.

here ill add a dumb audi story as well. Go to audi to get service done, when i first got the car. They said they would wash the car and it would only be another 10 min. So i wait and when i dropped off the car for service, i made sure all my windows were shut b4 i left the car. like you do when you leave your car....

So anyways i get to my car and go WTF why is the back window open... and then i think...**** waching my car...windo open.... i go to my car and theres water all over the inside of my car... They took it back and cleaned it up..

To Kelownaaudigirl and everyone else from BC. I will be taking my Audi to Roger Jobs Audi/Porsche in Bellingham WA. from now on. I have received an okay from Audi Canada that the CPO warranty and original warranty is valid in the US. In fact it sounds like the deductible per warranty visit is $50 versus $100. From what I have experienced so far, the service and prices are head and shoulders above what I have experienced at the Richmond dealership. Bellingham is an easy 40 minute drive from Abbotsford using the Sumas crossing....

Regards,

Alyac, you are on the right track. Find a shop or independent mechanic you can repeatedly trust to handle your car with the care and respect deserving of the brand.
