Yeah I do notice when I drive longer distances, my gas read out increases. That's why I asked about the 5 min drive thing. It seems like my lack of driving makes up for the poor gas mileage which saves me money but I'm worried that there might be something wrong. I guess I'll bring it in.

Jahnetik,

A cold engine burns way more fuel than an engine "at temp." It has to do with a lot of things including the fact that if you idle for 120 to 240 seconds you are burning fuel which doesn't get measured/averaged against any distance: that will compute to 0 (zero) liters to 100km!!!
As you drive and the longer you do so, the "better" your mean (average) is as you average down (or up depending on your perspective) your 0L/100Km from the start-up.

IN CONCLUSION: if you drive like I do in Edmonton my average is very much like yours; but when I lived in Toronto (a few months ago) with the long drives and the good highways (though congested), my mileage was way better... in line with the postings here!

Take your car for a long and spirited drive: 2-3 hours will do a lot of good to it!
