Yeah the are brutal in the red deer area...I lived in rocky Mtn house and a cop made me peel the tint once.

I was also pulled over three times in red deer just for the tint (40%).

After all of this I now prefer no tint lol

I've "heard" if you say you'll sue the cop in small claims court that should stop them. Thankfully I've never been in that situation. I usually just get to pay my money and they go back to doing whatever it is that they do.

Obviously, law enforcement in the small rural areas has very little to worry about! Here in Calgary, they couldn't care less about tint on the fronts. But, if they really start to crack down on the distracted driving law, I can see them having an issue with front tint. Police can't tell if you are texting or talking on your phone if they can't see in. Until then, I just keep my nose clean and try to attract as little attention as possible.

Thank you !!!!! That was driving me nuts.

Yeah, it still sucks as you enter the car, but at least you don't have to hear it upon exit. I wish there was a way to permanently disable it, but it doesn't sound like you can.

Perhaps through VAG-COM?

Perhaps. I didn't dig too deep into the forums, but I didn't see any fix for the ignition beep. I'm sure some wizard out there has cracked the code, though.

The garage floor is cleaner than the car that rests on it. How is this possible?
