Sorry to hear about this buddy. Did you ever call them before to check your VIN to see if it's on the recall list?
I guess at this point it doesn't matter.
I say call road side assistance since it's free, you don't want any complications specially driving around down town.
When I got my new car the first thing I had them check was the water pump to make sure it's the new one. This is very unfortunate.
