I was waiting for my new Q5 to be delivered sometime this week or next when I got a message yesterday from the dealer that my car, along with 1000+ others, did not made it on time for the ship due to bad weather in Europe.

After few research and some posts on this site, I wanted to see (and track) the possible ship that my Q5 was supposed to be on.

Based on the arrival date that was given to me of the ship in Halifax (Dec 16) , I concluded that the only probable RORO cargo leaving Bremerhaven to Halifax around that period was the FIDELIO cargo (Sweden) from Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistic.

I am now told that a 2-3 weeks delay is expected which means mid January arrival and late January delivery.

I have printed the ship schedule from Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistic for departure date or later Dec 15 from Bremerhaven and arrival to Halifax on or before January 31 2011.

I got 5 ships.
Out of those 5:

1) The OBERON (SE) is on its way to Bremerhaven with schedule arrival to Halifax on Dec 28 which appears to me as not the good one (too early).

2) The UNDINE (SE) is currently East of Florida on its way to Bremerhaven with schedule to leave Bremerhaven on Dec 29 and arrival to Halifax on January 10. Could be a good candidate for my car to be on.

3) The ELEKTRA (SE) is currently in Bremerhaven but with schedule to leave Bremerhaven on Jan 06 and arrival to Halifax on January 17. It feels odd that the ship will be that long in Bremerhaven but still a potential candidate.

4) The FIDELIO is currently south of Newfoundland with schedule to leave Bremerhaven on Jan 12 and arrival to Halifax on January 24. Looks like too late .

5) The FAUST (SE) is currently in China Sea with schedule to leave Bremerhaven on Jan 21 and arrival to Halifax on January 31. Looks like too late .

So, in summary if the company is Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistic, then the best ship candidate, based on the dates given to me, is the UNDINE or the ELEKTRA

Is there a way to know on which ship the next shipment will be from Audi Canada? Or from the Dealer? I have a VIN number by the way.

I really thought I will get my new Xtmas gift ahead of time. I still have my EDGE but now with the last week storms and all, the phone is ringing and that month delay seems too much for me to patiently wait. Although, I do not have much choice and looks I’ll be riding a rental until late January.
