Mike the Service Manager is a LIAR, very deceitful!
Audicy,
I am not sure when you went to Owasco and allowed Mike to have his "wicked" way with you: I have written extensively about my disatisfaction with the organization. And in oredr to head-off any possibilities of a liable action I have exemplified each statement and specified how they acted deceitfully!

I have an axe to grind with them? Yes I do! But more importanly I wanted to stop others from going there and spending $6,7,8K (as I did... circumstances) under warranty!

I have also written to AUDI America and lodged a formal complaint which they dismissed... more accurately: they will investigate but I will not hear about it, nor will I have any financial recourse!

I suggest AUDI owners build up some fortitude and start swamping AUDI HQ with complaints and demands for redress! And maybe, just maybe, DEALERS will become more accountable... dare I dream: MORE HONEST!

Yeah, similar thing happened to me there. I took my A4 in to have the power steering punp replaced, and when I picked up the car it was pissing fuel from the where the fuel line joins the fuel filter. I went back in and told them, they 'offered' to put it up on the hoist and look. It was clear that the line was pinched by the hoist when they did the steering pump, but still only offered to go 50/50. In the end they Mike the service manager lied and would not admit that 50/50 was the agreement and I had to pay the whole $550. I, and some others also had issues with Mike when he worked at Menzies Chrysler regarding lying.

Anyways, Yes. I go to Vanderhaydon's, They specialize in German cars and know them inside out and backwards. They have their own large stock room of parts in their basement for commonly replaced parts and are above all HONEST! ! !
They are located on Simcoe St. S just south of Bloor. Just past the train bridge on the East side. Family owned and run. Great bunch of guys, if you don't smoke stay out of the office. ewwwww LOL

I researched a lot of shops in the area here, very glad I settled with Vanderhaydon's.
Have heard some varied feedback about Eurotune. They are fairly new, whereas Vanderhaydon's have been around since the early-mid 80's. Give it a try and you be happy.

I hope it is ok to ask 2 questions:
1/do i need a special tool to change my spark plugs in my 2001 audi a6 quatro?
2/ is there a manual on line that is like a shop manual for my car?

thx very much

Not the right place to ask these questions...

1. as far as I know no special tool is needed for your model: just a spark-plug deep socket.
2. The Audi/VW... manuals are pretty well locked-up for "free" distribution: I have the Bentley product and I was trying to see if I can access anything other than my own manuals and the damned software takes forever to validate with the "mother ship"! I hope the license doesn't time out after 12 months... YES IT DID!
