Anyone ? The sound is Crrr cr cr....... (exactly like a bicycle when stop pedalling but not continuu). and is annoying. Is also happening when car is parked or in neutral, right before getting back to idle speed.

Finally found it with a car engine stethoscope. Is the Turbo wastegate actuator.

Hey guys I just bought my first used Audi S4 2004 Quattro with a V8 4.2L. When I'm going slow and turn hard to the right or left I hear a vibration noise. It feels like it's coming from the all wheel drive on the front wheels. Is this normal for Quattro's or should I have it checked. U-joint maybe??

Thanks..

Hi ,

I have a 2010 2.0 A4 6 speed, I bought it used in 2013 with 40k on it. Noticed the oil consumption was high so I checked the web and learned about the "issue".

The dealer (OWASCO) performed the fix and all has been good...... accept now. Sometime between 125K and now (155K) it started consuming more oil.

I am now driving with a spare liter of oil in the car as it drinks about 1L every 1000kms.

I am in the middle of my second consumption test with Audi Mid Town

Since I am over 130kms Audi Canada says I'm on my own regarding the cost.

A couple of questions

1. Was this a permanent fix or just a temporary fix? Good for about 60,000 kms?
2. Will I have to pay or can I get Audi to provide free service to address the problem? I had planned on driving the car to 300km's
3. I heard some people got new engines, how common is this? Apparently they reached out to Audi Germany.

Thanks

Ted

I've got one for you that I haven't had much luck searching online.

The car is a 2006 Audi S4. The problem is my driver's mirror has a mind of its own meaning it doesn't retain the setting once I shut the car off. The next time I star the car and use one of the memory buttons on the door the seat goes to the previous setting but the driver's mirror is pointing down. The passenger mirror retains its settings with no issues.

Is the problem the driver's side mirror motor memory function failing?

Is it the door memory switch failing?

Is it the power seat control modeule on the drivers side?

Or something else?

Thanks, Brian

Hi there, I just picked up a 2005 Audi A8 4.2 Quattro, I live in Montreal and the winters can be a bit cold. Anyways my concern was the adaptive suspension, it's been fixed previously(leak), and now it's on automatic, should I change the setting to avoid any future damage?? Im worried since its on auto the suspension would constantly be working and would end up breaking, thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for your help. I was thinking about purchasing a 2006 Audi A4 2.0T and was wondering if you can tell me what to look for when initially inspecting the car myself.

Thanks!

My MMI/Sound and Visual would work intermittently when my A6 was cold (ever since I have owned the car in 2009). Once it warmed up it would work fine. Two days ago it was cutting in and out, and now the complete system went blank when I was driving. There is no power to the MII or the buttons on the console. I tried the reset by pushing the middle large button and the settings button at the same time but the screen is blank. Is there a resistor or fuse somewhere in the system that I can check? It appears to be a total loss of power which happened while I was driving in normal conditions.

Hello there!

I have a b6 a4 quattro 1.8 with a six speed,
Current mods are
K04
Cold air intake
Turbo back exsaust
I'm looking to do a stage 1 at a local shop here but am just wonder what sort of injectors to go with, I see the Bosch 550cc are popular but don't want to overdo the fuel

Thank you very much!
