Hi. New to the forum though I've referred to it numerous times to help with the many issues I've had with my 2013 Audi Q5 2.0T Premium Plus.

As expected, the engine has tapped out (at just over 155,000 km) - internal damage to cylinder walls, recommended new long block at the cost of $16k+tax. I say "as expected" because of long-time oil consumption issues (refill 1L for every 600km) and other common problems (e.g. timing chain, and more!) that began at 70,000km.

I'd like to get another 2-3 years out of this vehicle and so, I'm looking to put in a used engine that doesn't have inherent design flaws. To do this, I need:

(1) to stay away from engines that are known to have inherent issues related to oil consumption and potential engine damage; and so, I would like to know the engine codes and associated production year for these models; AND/OR

(2) Engine codes of Q5 2.0T engines produced in 2018 and 2019 that are suitable for my 2013 Q5 (assuming that all those prior to 2018 still have known flaws that will lead to engine failure).

Hoping you can help!

I am in need of a part for my 1989 Audi 100. Having trouble locating it.
It is discontinued out of Germany, so need to find one another way.

Part: Front Left Bearing Housing
Part# : 443-412-023 K

The support for the coil spring let go, and my coil spring is now rubbing on the inside of the tire.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ian

Hi. New Audi owner. Just purchased a 2017 Audi A4 Technik. Looking to purchase winter wheels. What can I fit on my vehicle? I’d like all the sensors to continue to work. The OEM wheels are super expensive and clearly priced to gouge. Vehicle is currently equipped with 18” 5 spoke OEM wheels.

Hi, i bought an A3 3.2 2006. The AWD is not working. It doesn't kicks in on the snow even, just the front wheels are rotating/slipping. The ESP switch doesn't work and ABS system is not responding. When I turn on the ignition switch, the esp light doesn't lights up too. I suspect maybe the AWD is not working because a faulty ABS module. How do i proceed? I am just lost. Please help.

Did you end up replacing the engine? I have a 2012 Q5 with 152,000 that is burning a litre every 700 km, and it looks like I will need to be replacing mine as well.

The only string I found referencing the exact problem (Post# 381) I'm having and unfortunately it looks as though this topic has been abandoned??

I have: 2005.5 (B6) A4 1.8T (base)

IS THERE A SOLUTION FOR THIS??:
"2004 A6 Avant sunroof works with ignition on but motor not running but will not work with motor running. Electric windows all work at all times. Closing sunroof with key fob works. Fuse #30 is good and live in both scenarios. Any thoughts please. - Johny"

Hi!
First of all thank you for doing this! Amazing!!
I'm a new member here and not very savvy so i'm sorry if the explanation is not good.

I have an Audi A4 Quattro S Line - 2017 with 19" wheels but last summer i hit a rock and one of the wheels is damaged and there's no reparation possible.

So i started looking for the same wheel (an used one because at Audi they cost $1200(!!!)/each) and i only found 2 that are the same model, but the offset is not the same as the originals (so i'm told): one has ET35mm and the other one ET45mm. I guess the original offset is 40mm.

The guy in the shop says i won't see or feel any difference but i'm not so sure, maybe he just wants to sell me the wheel. He suggested the ET45 so there's no chance that the wheel or tire rub the suspension or brakes.

What do you think? Should i keep looking? Use a spacer on the other wheel in the same suspension arm (rear) to make it the same offset?

Thank you so much!!!

I've attached the pic of the wheel maybe someone

here as a spare one!

Hi PedroDom,
Just read the offset off of your existing rim and get the same offset. The guy in the shop IS just trying to sell you what he's got and it's my opinion that he doesn't know what he's talking about. If you want to not rub the suspension you go with the 35 offset as that pushes it out further. That said, I wouldn't mix offsets because it IS noticeable - maybe not to you, but it is to me, and for someone to say that it can't be felt is BS. In either case, I'm fairly sure that you will see a difference. Also, there wouldn't be any chance of hitting the brakes regardless of the offset, so he really has no idea what he's saying.
More importantly, if it's not the same offset then it's most likely an aftermarket wheel altogether. If it was an original (used) rim, it would be in the right offset. Maybe I misunderstood what you were looking for but I thought it was a used OE rim. If you're considering aftermarket replicas then yes, you have to find the correct offset. Mixing offsets is like duct taping your bumper on, technically it works, but does it tho?
