You're not going to get a bunch of power out of just a cat-back, downpipes are what you need there, and that gets expensive. If you're just looking for a bit more sound, maybe remove the resonator on the stock exhaust.

 

You're not gonna get loads of power out of any exhaust modification unless it's extremely restrictive in the first place. Cat-back will contribute to a power increase as will better downpipes. All depends on how much boost you're pushing. It's all relative.

 

yeah.. i just got my piggy downpipes installed 3 days ago, with my borla 3' catback with no midpipe. HUGE DIFFERENCE. you can also hear the turbo now

 

how much did the whole setup set you back? Im going to school in the fall and cant break the bank

 

my borla cat back with removed mid muffler ran $1300 installed. The piggies i picked up at an audi show for $200 but it cost $600 to install them...vast charges i think $395 plus you got to ship your old dp back to them i think

so $1300+200+600=$2100 turbo back exhaust....worth every penny.
and im in college as well just work really hard during the summer
