Of course, being careful and gathering all the information on someone before buying something from that person online is always a good idea, but my guess is folks that are part of this board know how to practice due dilligence.

Anyway, thanks again for warning folks on the potential pitfalls of buying online, but seeing I am never opposed to phone conversation or exchange of pertinent information in an effort to put someone at ease if I'm selling something, I think a semi-intelligent human will make the necessary steps before comitting any money to me for any item, or anyone else for that matter. Hi everyone. I just bought this T25 flange exhaust manifold, GT3071R turbo, and Tial external wastegate to make a big turbo kit.




I also have a Garrett intercooler core coming.
The only thing is that I want to fabricate everything myself (downpipe, test pipe, intercooler end tanks, intercooler tubing, etc...) but I don't really have a good source on fabrication material (aluminum tubing, stainless steel tubing, etc...).
I bought some pieces from this place here:

The prices are good but they only ship UPS and, as I'm sure most of you guys know, UPS' brokerage/handling fees are ridiculously high and absolutely kill the deal.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a good source in Canada to avoid all those fees.

Hey man no need to take offence, I got screwed out of my $800 once and all I am saying is be careful. I just sold to a guy on here something and sent the item first before I saw any money he was trust worthy and the money is on its way in the mail. Sometimes you win sometimes you loose, but I am warning the newbies to be careful nothing against you this is a hell of a deal and in my opinion I would buy it from you right now, but I have the items already. It will help if you post some photos, along with your username on a paper that will prove that you have these. I am not trying to DISCOURAGE ANYONE NOT TO BUY but I am just saying be careful as I have had my experiance, with a guy that sounded just as genuine. usually we are very good at getting along on here and we encourage every sale. But we also try to look out for one another, is a local pickup available etc. all these things will help you sell this item. I RECOMEND THIS TO ANYONE it is a hell of a deal as the ross tech runs at $350 and the manual is about $100 you save $200, but also you need to take into consideration that the manual needs to be unregistered from your name....and state these things so the buyer feels at ease. We try to run this place as a family and not back stab one another, so dont think I am against you.

Maybe a picture of your item would help your ad. Also, you could put your user name on a piece of paper with the item that way people can see that you actually have the item and it's legit.

 

try places like "The Metal Supermarket" better if you go there in person to pick up what you need...

 

Vibrant Performance sells all the fabrication components you could ever need and they are in Mississauga (manufacturer) so there are lots of distributors in Ontario.

goto Vibrant Performance::. and look for dealers. They sell J bends for exhaust piping, aluminum universal tubes for intercooler pipes, silicone, t bolt and worm clamps, v-bands, flanges, manifold schedule 10 tubing, everything you could possible think of.

We used a lot of their product in building custom turbo kits for cars and making custom exhaust.
