Re: Thinking of buying a used A4
Well,
Having bought my 2003 A4 QMS last December (51,000 KMs on the clock at time of purchase), I have to say car is performing well, but in retrospec I would make sure of the following:
- Try to get a CPO vehicle (certified pre-owned). The extra 2 year warranty will really come in handy, depending on KMs.
- If possible, try and get the full service records. Maintenance that was done on the car is important
- Try to opt for the sport package. The lowered suspension VS non sport improves the looks and handling of the vehicle (more of a "driver's car"). There's also the USP (Ultra sport) version, but they are a bit rare.
- Look for peeling interior components, mostly windows switches, radio or climate control buttons. Audi interiors are some of the best around, but the B6 models (2002-2005) have this soft materials over switches and controls that can peel over time and use.
- The CVT (automatic) transmissions have their share of issues, so manual might be a better choice if that's an option for you.
- the 1.8T vs 3.0 V6 choice is a personal thing. 1.8T is a tad better on fuel, and you can have some fun with it as far as modifications (I'm out of warranty, so this applies to me, and certainly not all).
Definitely nice vehicles, and although I'm already looking for something else, this is one car I don't mind driving in the interim.
Good luck with the search!

Returning leased car
My A4's lease is up in a little while and I'm getting ready to prep the car for it's return. Has anyone had experience returning the car off lease? How picky is Audi on dents, scratches, etc. (other than what's obviously listed in the wear & tear package)? My other concern is the tires - my tires will be right at the end of their life and probably won't meet the wear & tear specs, although I've heard some people saying they don't car. Anyone know for sure?

Before purchasing Viagra (sildenafil citrate) online, you need to make sure that Viagra's right for you. Visit Pfizer's official Viagra site and read for detailed information on the drug, including possibly dangerous drug interactions. If you are taking any medications or have any health problems, you should consult with your family doctor or pharmacist before buying Viagra online.
Viagra comes in three dosages: 25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg. The most cost-effective way to purchase Viagra is to buy the 100 mg pills and cut them either in half or in fourths. You can purchase pill cutters at your local drug store for this purpose or just use a knife; some online pharmacies include a pill splitter. 100 mg is a high dosage; you should start with a quarter pill (25 mg) and see how that works before using any more.

Re: Thinking of buying a used A4
Great cars with only a few issues to watch for. As "Noob" suggested, getting service records is important - the earlier B6 models had some issues with coil packs but they're only $50. each to replace (4). Make sure the car does not have a sludge issue - if oil changes were done regularly with synthetic oil, this will not be a problem. The Ultrasport model didn't come out until 2004 and included larger wheels, sport suspension and some interior finishes. The sport package is a worthwhile option although you could get a better suspension (smoother with enhanced performance) by going aftermarket. The A4 is definitely a drivers car and the 1.8 engine is easily and inexpensively modified to become even moreso. I modified mine with only 12,000 kms on it and have never looked back (have almost 90k now).
The CVT wasn't available until later so you'll be looking at either a 5 speed or automatic. IMO, the stick is the way to go if you're looking for a drivers car ...
Good luck !
