can anyone suggest the best/cost efficient place to get winter tires and wheels in the GTA area?

 

I am in the same boat and not being sarcastic; but I do not think that we have a hope in hell before January or Febuary. Quebec just pasted a law mandatting winter tires for the province, overloaded the manufacturing capacity.

Best prices in GTA I have heard is Simply Tires. They have a web site.

My regular tire guy recommended them an the basis that their selling price is his wholesale price. Having said that Simply Tires was involved in a couple of group buys and they are extremly busy.

I have an advantage over you. Guelph is a lot worse for snow than Toronto/Mississauga area. You need this more than I do.

I just put a set of michelin X ice2 on my car, after calling about 8 places and everyone of them telling they have no winters in my size in stock and that they cant order any i went to the audi dealership on queensway which stocks pirelli's and found out from the parts guy that Kipling Tire is a big michelin dealer and thats where i got my tires. Give them a call thy are located on Kipling just north of queensway 416-233-5551 I paid $148 each tire balanced and installed.

 

My New 2009 Audi A4 2.0t only 2 months old, It already has headlight range control defective problem, i sent to dealer and took them half day to fix. But they didn't solve the issue and cause me more extra problem now my storage box on passenger side always open by itself automatically while i was driving. Any new A4 owner has same issue, or anyone knows what is wrong with that.....I am going to dealer again this weekend hope they knows what is wrong this time, or i will ask them to change all head light systems for me

 

Im Looking to buy a whole new sound system, tweeters, door speakers, rear speakers, and deck. Ive looked everywhere and I cannot find the sizes for all the speakers in my car, can someone please help me with a link to a site or with their own knowledge I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

By the way its a 1999 A4 2.8 Quattro.

I checked the forums but did not find an exact answer. I think the answer to this question can benefit many of us!

My factory warranty expires in 3 months. I have a scheduled service and upon some prodding I now know that you can get the brake pads replaced free of charge under the warranty. This got me thinking what else?

I read about a guy who got his car checked from an Audi mechanic for $150 and the mechanic gave him a list of things that can be replaced, the guy gave the list to the service manager and it was all taken care of.

So without spending the money and time, are there any generic things that we can get replaced before the warranty expires? What are some of the things in a Audi A4 1.8T Quattro, that might give you trouble say a few thousand kms after and which you are better off replacing! Any tips? Advice?

Basically the dipstick chamber where you put the dipstick inside of is loose. It does not stay still. It vibrates when the engine is on. What is the problem and could i fix it my self or im planning to take it to midas. Help and thanks.
