B5/B6 clutch (no flywheel)
I recently purchased a 2004 Audi A4 1.8T. I've noticed recently that, particularly when braking, I get an odd noise coming from the front of the car. I can replicate this noise by pushing back and forth on the vehicle when it is in park, and turned off. I also hear the noise when accelerating a bit quicker than normal, and occasionally when going over bumps. A friend had suggested that it could be something like a loose motor mount, but i"m not particularly knowledgeable. The ability to replicate the noise leads me to believe that it is hopefully not an internal engine problem, but I'm curious if anyone else had had similar problems, or has a few suggestions before I take it into the shop and start throwing money around.
unfortunately the warranty ended on the car in february.
Cheers,
Andrew

Hi, anyone know where I could get the same ones the dealer sells without getting them from the dealer since they charge $150 for all 4. I would be even willing to order them online. Thanks
I would try a place like http://www.genuineaudiparts.com/ They go for about $90 there

Yeah, I saw that site and looked them up beforehand but if I am not mistaken it seems to only deliver to the US. Has anyone in Canada ever ordered anything from there and gotten it shipped to their home?
I have a set of black winter mats from my A4 that I am looking to sell. Part No 8E1061450 041.
I am in the GTA area. Email me if you are interested: cl14212@gmail.com

So my left front caliper is sticking. Rotor and wheel are getting ridiculously hot. Car has been parked. Only took the one short(ened) trip. Car had been sitting for a couple weeks. It'll still be motorcycle season till it snows, so I've got some time left.
So, hitting the internet, I've only been partially successful. But I did find this place, so not all is lost.
I'm having trouble confirming the actual part # for the front calipers (99 A4 1.8T Quattro).
I'm also having trouble locating any replacement calipers that aren't:
"A1 CARDONE FRICTION CHOICE BRAKE CALIPER, REMANUFACTURED -- A High Quality, Direct Fit OE Replacement Brake Caliper, Includes All Necessary Hardware For Quick And Easy Installation, With A1 Cardone Product's Limited Lifetime Warranty"
I've found that same description on at least 15 different sites covering about 18,000 different part names...
Any suggestions as to the best place to order a replacement (for at least the left), or a mild (price wise) upgrade for both sides... Or does anyone have one available?
Thanks, Brandon.

I was about to purchase the Pure Motorsport timing belt kit and realized they dont ship to canada, then i was going to get the ECS tuning kit only to find out that it is about 400 bucks shipped instead of 280. Is there any place in canada that sells a good kit for a good price? BTW its for a 2000 A4 1.8T and im doing the install myself
try this Auto Parts Online Canada bough my kit from them this past summer and free shipping for 75$ and over.
