Hi guys,

Front-end on the driver's side of my '98 A4 2.8Q has been clunky over bumps, so I had a look and the dust boot over the ball join on one of the upper control arms (outside end) has gone from just cracked to split wide open. Definately needs to be replaced.

My question is, are these ball joints available seperate from the control arm, or do I need to buy the whole thing? If they are, does anyone have the part number?

Hey guys, Question........ I know on a 5.0 V8 You get better responce and less drag on the engine if you remove the clutched fan on it. Now on the 1999 a4 I have I see if has that fan as well as an electric. Any benifit to going dual electric and removing the clutched fan?

i just got a new gauge cluster for my 97 audi a4.(old one died)
everything is good except the tachometer. it just kind of floats there when the car is at a stop, its about 1500 rpm's. i've maxed out the rpm's and the guage was way past 6,000 rpm's it was like at 9,000 witch i could never do with my old tach.
its way off. anything i can do to reset the tach?

anyone heard of this?

I am new to the forum but so far have learned a great deal.
I am looking for some advice and opinions.
I have a chance to pick up a set of slightly used Borbet Design VS rims (17x with 245/45ZR Dunlop SportMaxx tires.
The rims are currently on a Benz but the owner says the bolt pattern is the same.
These tires are both wider and taller than the current 235/45 17 Michelins.
Will they fit??

are the lows HID D1S or D2S?

Try shokan.com. They've been selling new/used Audi parts for 25 yrs+. Last year, I ordered a replacement armrest from them via Ebay. A little pricey for a used part, but it was a genuine leather covered armrest in decent condition and of course, oem Audi. Btw, used parts usually don't have to pay customs tax. I didn't on the armrest, which was shipped from NY state to Vancouver.
