Typically things are cheaper the further north you go, until you hit
Scotland where it can all go weird.
But now all over the UK, people have had enough. It's getting to the
point where not just the amount of fuel it uses, but the price of the
fuel you pay is dictating what car you drive. That's just wrong.
It isn't using less fuel because you want to use less fuel (a good thing
having choice), it's using less fuel because you have to use less fuel,
because you can't afford to use the same amount of fuel as you used to
(a very bad things). BTW, inthe height of Summer, busses and trains
stink because even those with air conditioning have it is either
switched off, or in a state of disrepair. Although busses with Aircon
isn't exactley a regular site either.

Damn! The best I can do is realistically about 20MPG on the open road.
In city driving it's less than 15. On the plus side, I didn't pay much for
the
old car and I drive it only once or twice a week. A tankfull of gas lasts
a month or two...

Yet again, if you live in a democracy, and you countrymen agree with
you, you can *do something* about this.

I do about 180-200 a week, and go through roughly 30-35 litres a week.
Mixed motorway and main road, very little town. if I spend it all doing
town roads at 30 or less, I end up with the 26.

Seems to me if ones total yearly income is only $24,000
they can hardly afford the gas to visit a doctor.

Lets see, 20 MPG tops, twice a week max. for two month at
the most. That's eight trips after which you must fill the
tank. You must have one hellava small tank or you take
some really long trips.

One does not need a degree today, as long as they can say;
"Do you want fries with that?" or "Welcome to WalMart."
For earning in the six figures or above one needs to EARN
a degree or "sing" Rap or "play" sports.
