Yeh that looks fantastic! I really like it but the price? Over $1000? : )
I hope to get a good used one for lesser price if possible but no warranty ouch!
Any advice? Thanks!

Look south of the Border into Washington or Seattle.
There's a much bigger market. Look for Audi Clubs.
I drove down from Winnipeg, MB to Mankato, MN to get mine. (Install included).

Good luck.

All these tricks are great, but I have ONE question:

IS TI POSSIBLE TO END THE FREAKING BEEPING THAT GOES ON EVERYTIME YOU NEED EITHER GAS OR WHEN A BULB IS BURNED OR WHEN YOU NEED WINDSHEELD WASHER? I know this can be useful, but I lok at it all the time, I REALLY do nto need that freaking beepin everytime I start the car. Is there anything I can do to stop this?

Thanks!

BTW, this forum is great, good work guys!!!

Yup, there is also something called CAPS-LOCK that you can shut off, so you don’t annoy anyone on here! Just throwing it out there!
Hate to be a smart ass, but how about actually filling it up and replacing the bulbs, so others are aware that you are on the road.

They can be programmed not to go off, but I would not recommend it.

Hi anyone know how to fix the wipers' vibrating blades ? Are the little clips on the blades adjustable? They seem too new to be thrown out and replaced!
Thanks so much!

I must be changing at least one of these bulbs every other month or so, there's allways another one burning...so before I can get to the store to buy them, I was hoping for a break with the beeper and came to this site only hoping to find some help...but all I got was 1 move's GREAT reply!!!!, very useful. I really grew wiser from your intelligent intervention. You know, there's nothing wrong with shutting up when you have nothing to say!
I don't wanna be a smart ass either, but maybe a visit to your high school schrink might help U deal with your feelings of anger and *********** with regards to caps lock....

You are the only one that seems to find it this way as many other members of this website appreciate the help. The posts that you posted previously were in Caps as well and this is why I said something about it, and deleted some of your other posts, as you would post the same topic in a few different sections.

Back on topic, Have you tried upgrading them to LED's? They seem to last a lot longer, I noticed if i left the light burnt out for a while and then changed it the opposing light would burn out immediately or soon there after.

I also found that the tail lights on a B6 seem to go the most often, which was practically once a month or so. I ended up replacing them at the same time each one would go out, and that seemed to fix it after 2-3 replacements.

I drive a B6 and my lights rarely burn out, in these 2 years that ive had it, ive had to replace only 1 fog light, 2 front turn signals, and one high beam, all around the same time and so far theyve been holding out for me.

Thanks One Move for the prompt reply!

I'll try your suggestion of upgrading my lights LED and changing them both a the same time since I also realized that whenever I changed one of them, the other seemed to burn after a few days to weeks...

Two questions: Do you recommend any maintenance book for a 2002 (B6) A4 ? Would you know of any used parts businesses for Audis in the Montreal area?

Thanks for the advice!

PS: I won't use Caps anymore, sorry if it annoyed anyone,.

I would recommend the Bentley Manual on a CD/DVD you can get them from Ross Tech or Bentley themselves I think they run for about $100? as for the used parts you are close to the boarder so I would look at scrap yards in your area, depending on the milage I would recomend on cahnging the fuel pump soon or atleast clean the fuel filter, as they are iffy on the 2002. The 2002 model had a lot of electrical problems as it was the new B6 Line and the bugs got fixed from there onward. Try and run some Seafoam through it you will notice a difference as well.

Hey Guys, I've got a 2001 audi s4.... Its the sedan, its black with the alacantara suede interior. Its also 6spd manual. This is my first post so forgive me If im doing this in the wrong place lol but im just trying to find someone to respond to me lol. I want to do some upgrades to my car... I'm thinking about installing a short shifter. I also want to do a Chip and Exhaust... but I was wondering how bad is the chip for my car? Its only got 110,000 Kms (not miles). Its still a baby.

Basically I'm wondering what chip to go for?
What exhaust to go for?
and how bad the chip is for my car?

Right now im looking at an apr chip, and a neuspeed exhaust... thats all RPI tuning in richmond has.

Thanks so much in advance guys

Shawn

Sounded like you got a great car there..congrats!!!

Now comes to the mod for your car...Just remind you what I about to say are solely my personal opinion...

If you you want to mod a street car..I'll do the break first 2nd will the tires and for further improvement will be the suspensions...coil overs and such because the car with the good handling will more likely get you out of trouble when the situations gets hairy..
after that then we can thinking about what can you do under the hood...I will started with the cold air in take and exhaust, cooling after, short shifter, racing clutch then you can enjoy you car for a few week or a month then figure what you want to do when comes to engine improvements but for B5 you got what 260hp stock? now you have about 280hp and car will feel more responsive and handles better. just my 2cents

hey mp3review2010, a chip is not bad for your car so stop saying that :D, it's good for your car. You are not limited to rpi equipped. Here are a few shops that you can talk to regarding your s4. I got my chip and my coilovers from rpi. Got my car fixed and tuned at the 3 shops below. And blitzkrieg has awd dyno.

One other thing, not sure if anyone has posted this yet,

In my B6 arm rest when u flip the lid up it has the 2 cupholders, if you take the spill pad out theres these 2 screws, if you loosen them u can actually remove the cup holders. Just a heads up!!.

When you reset the service schedule it will only display again after driving 300 or so km.

I actually just found this one out myself last weekend while working on the car.

Those cupholders are useless in my opinion, I am tempted to just remove it altogether and use it for storing other things.

Maybe nice to have on a long family drive, but for everyday traveling, the single cupholder in the dash is good enough for me!

If you're asking about the Bluetooth, I would say no. Bluetooth can't communicate with a non-bluetooth device, and more then likely you'd know if you car had Bluetooth built in.

midrange 11-21-2010 11:18 PM

Re: Tips and tricks......for your audi

A4 Models produced prior to July 2005 are not Bluetooth compatible. If your vehicle was released after July, you may be in luck. Read up in your manual to see if you do have an interface to make your radio acknowledge your blue tooth device. The easiest way to is go to your local Audi dealer, purchase a Audi Phone cradle. Once you put your phone in the cradle, your audi will automaticaly recognize it! That easy.

Currently the Audi Phone Preparation with Bluetooth comes standard in the A6 and A8, and is optional in the A3, A4, and S4 in all body styles.

The other day I was driving home and my fuel range was about 75 miles (American bought car) and a few minutes later I glanced back and noticed that where the fuel range is normall displayed it now appeared to display some sort of timer, it read something like 9:22h. I am assuming that this is a trip timer of some sort but the problem is I cannot seem to figure out how to get my fuel range back, anyone know how to do so? It's probably something simple but I can't figure it out and my car didnt come with the manual :S Thanks in advance.

You pressed the up/down buttons at the right end of the wiper control - they're visible shinning in white in this picture, at the end of the wiper level, above the key hole:
