Default Clear Coat - Road Tar Removal

What do we use to remove road tar from the vehicle so the clear coat is not damaged?

I was thinking 50% Nitromethane and 50% Toluene mixture would work just fine.

Adam: heat up the tar with a torch until it falls off.
Everyone else: use diesel on a cloth. Apply liberally, wait a few minutes, wipe off. Repeat until it is gone, then wash your car.

i still stick with diesel though.... i have used gas before, but i find it dries up too quick... never tried wd40, but i imagine it would probably be very similar to diesel.
i don't doubt the peanut butter either.... the original diesel engines were designed to run on peanut oil!

Get a clay bar and be sure to use plenty of lubricant with it. They're an essential part of every detailer's kit. Clay bars won't be common in most big-box stores, but I know Canadian Tire carries them.

Edit: wash your car very well before you clay it!
