Did you ever get that clutch issue sorted out? No more Southbend for you, eh? Hopefully if we ever do another get together where we help each other work on our cars it won't be under a tarp in a rain soaked driveway.

I fixed all of my the issues with my A6 and it's running as if it's new. When repaired and maintained properly these cars are awesome. 330,000km and it runs perfectly. Especially now that it's supercharged.

No more DIY guides for my A6. I reluctantly sold it and it has a happy new home in Calgary to someone who I know will take very good care of it. I put a lot of effort in that car, and it was kind of sad to let it go after finally completing all the projects. I had a G2 Supercharger, KW V1s, RS6 replica wheels and had all the bodywork and paint done. Upgraded to the RNS-E but kept the factory speakers.

On a positive note, I bought a US '09 S8 5.2 V10 from Miami, Florida. And I still have my '06 A4 2.0T Avant. Both cars I'll keep stock for now, although I've been pondering on whether to chip the 2.0T or not.

I'll swing by the site, I haven't been around for so long!

how are you liking the S8 V10? I have been contemplating an S6 V10, but am a little scared regarding the carbon buildup issues.

I was concerned as well, but there have been numerous discussions about this on various forums. Unfortunately these FSI motors are picky when it comes to fuel, so always use a name-brand, premium grade fuel. The higher the octane the better. Also regular inspections help. My warranty extends to 2014 and part of the warranty programme is to have all the maintenance, repairs and inspections done at an Audi dealership so I'm not too concerned about it.

I can't comment on the S6 V10 as I've never driven one but the S8 V10 is as close to a four door Gallardo as you can get. I'm having a Milltek non-resonated exhaust installed sometime in the spring, along with an ECU tune.

How do you like your 540i? I always wanted either that, or the M5. I like the 5-Series far more than the A6/S6/RS6. I don't like any of the 5-Series past 2003 though, so hang on to yours. You have the best model year available.

You just need to replace valve cover gasket which is $60 at dealer and $25 at German part shop.

yea its a valve cover gasket for sure, same thing happened to my car. the best way to get oil out of the spark plug holes is blowing compressed oil down the oils with a rag at the top to catch the oil. its a long process but it gets them very clean
