More importantly, if you are in the market for a 4.2 V8 S4, you should know that they suffer from premature failure of certain timing chain guides. This cars timing has been rebuilt with the latest revision guides. As preventative, I replaced all the following:

- All guides
- Tensioners
- Internal timing seals
- Water jacket seals
- Kombi seals
- Cam cover gaskets
- Fuel injector packings
- Coolant temp sensor
- Rear main seal
- Fresh oil, coolant, and all other fluids.

Oil was always changed at service interval with VW502 00 spec. Other maintenance includes transmission and differential oil changed at 136,000 km and front left wheel bearing at 130,000km
Will include 4 oil filters and crush washers ($100 value!)

I really hate to see it go, I had planned on keeping it hence all the preventative work while the engine was out. But I need something bigger as the family grows… Amazing car, I will regret selling it.
