The audi dealership here (Toronto) is advising me the latest maps for North America is part # is 8R0-060-884-BD

can you confirm if this is right and what is the release date.
would it include updates upto Oct 2014?

The latest MMI maps are 8R0-060-884-CA (6.10.2) but partly available at the dealers yet. These are 2014/2015 maps

8R0-060-884-BD (6.8.2) are previous and currently available 2013/2014 maps that dealer provided until about a month ago. Now dealers have new map in ETKA catalog but not all of dealers can order the map update SD card as "dealer equipment"...

New cars come with 6.10.2 map (even though catalog has even newer map: 6.11.2 8R0-060-884-CJ but not sure if this is for factory installs only and might not be for upgrade purposes at the dealer.

Bottom line:

6.8.2 is the common update and 6.10.2 is beginning to appear at the dealers so check the version dealer is willing to upgrade you to telling you "it is the latest map"... Generally the service advisers are not so competent in this MMI maps field....

These maps cover all North America: USA, Canada & Mexico.

i will ask the dealer if they have 8R0-060-884-CJ recognizing your comment about it not necessarily being available for upgrades.

 

Dealer confirmed 8R0-060-884-CA is available. They wont give me 8R0-060-884-CJ as it is shop equipment.
