Updated Navigation Maps
 

hi all,
I have a 2013 Q5. The Map version / Part # is 8R0060884BA which apparently is 2009/2010 version.
New part # 8R0060884BP is available for 2013/2014.

Can anyone validate this information given to me. In the meantime, I will contact my Audi Dealership to find out if any of this is true.

Good question. BTW does map cover all North America? Any regional differences?

2014 SQ5 Mfr date 07/2014 delivered circa Sept. 1 2014

as far as I know.. North America is US and Canada.. don't know if Mexico is included... I only care about US and Canada as chances of me driving to Mexico is zero.

July 2014 is 7 months out... is it 2013 by any chance?

also, your version is 6.8.2. I took delivery of my car June 2013 and have 5.7.3. I have been following up regularly with Audi Canada and the Dealership and have been advised no updates are available as NAVTEQ hasn't released anything.. which is clearly not true.

I had to contact Audi USA to find out the most recent maps available today but then got told to contact my Dealer to handle any and all updates.

Yup you read correctly: 2014 Mfd July 2013. Not sure how that works but first available SQ5 over here was 2014 model. I think the first North American SQ5 owners got theirs late July?

Audi would do themselves a favor by clearly publishing what the latest map version is... I poked around and don't see any clear consistent answers.

Beyond the maps themselves, the navigation package gets me where I want to go for general use. But when time is of the essence and I want to contour traffic I still use Navigon on my iPhone. I recently upgraded by attaching it to the front middle vent with a Kenu Airframe so I can see the Navigon map. The phone component of iPhone is connected to audio via bluetooth, and when Navigon voices a direction it does so through car audio. Anyone else find the navigation system is not optimal at finding the best route?
