I'm undecided but I know I have to drop down in size either 20" or 19". When I spoke to the service guy at Audi they recommended a winter tire set that was around $2500 plus install. I will see about getting the service waived. I'm favouring an all season set instead which I didn't have time to ask him about.

What about yourself since you'll be getting delivery during winter? Suggestions? I'm a noob at this stuff.

$2500 sounds like a lot, but it's actually not that out of line when you start shopping around. Currently, I'm considering a few options. Hartmann does a nice Audi replica wheel so I'm contemplating a 20" set of the rotor-style rim with Bridgestone Blizzaks. Probably end up running me $2500 with shipping and duties.

There's a number of OEM replica wheels available online, mostly through the States. Some are higher quality than others. I want to stay at a 20" diameter just so I don't run into issues with the larger brake calipers. I am now researching what offset to go with. I don't want the wheels to poke, but I do want a flush fit. The guys at Hartmann claim a +25 offset will have a nice "aggressive" look or you could opt for a +38 offset which will suck the wheels in by 5mm. I'm thinking of a 20x9 rim with the +25 offset and 245/45 winter rubber.

I'm hoping people will start posting up their setups on the "SQ5 Wheels" thread once the snow starts falling.

I was quoted $4300.00 (taxes in) from my local Audi dealership for a set of Michelin X Ice X12 235/55R/19 winter tires and 19 inch Audi wheels.

I ended up purchasing triple split 5 spoke 19 inch Hartmann wheels (HRS6-204-GS) and Michelin X Ice X12 235/55R/19 tires locally for under $2400.00 taxes and delivery included.

Sounds like a great set up. Be sure to post up some pics once they are on. Do you mind me asking where you picked up the Hartmann's?

I ordered them from Essex Distributors in Richmond, British Columbia.

If you go to Hartmannwheels.com you will see US and Canada telephone numbers at the bottom of the web page.

The Canadian number is 1-800-663-7739.

Thanks for the info. I will definitely be giving these guys a call. I can't believe how ridiculous the price of OEM wheels are.

I am leaning towards the triple split 5-spoke design as well. Are these the ones you went with?
